It looks like its not just the basketball games between our 2 schools being big games this year...

I'm already looking ahead to the last Saturday of this month for the big game, will WSU and NAU both be undefeated at that point? Who will win? We both have very good offenses thus far.

I will hold off on prognosticating til after NAU's game against Idaho State and the Wildcats game vs. Northern Colorado. Regardless of what the overall record shows, ISU and N.Colorado are no slouches. Will make a prediction next Sunday and I'm hoping for two teams undefeated in conference.

Yes, there is no team in the big sky that is a push over, even ISU only lost to MSU 33-21 so...

WSU's Purple Pak similar to the Jack Pack will be taking a bus to NAU for the game on the 25th. Should be a fun game, I'm planning making it to Flagstaff as well.

Hoping we both win this week and are top 15 teams duking it out! I think the winner will be top 10.

As for this week: WSU 42, UNC 21; NAU 35, ISU 14

I will be coming down to Flagstaff for the WSU vs NAU game. I havn't been down there for a few years, but last time I came down we went to a really good sports bar with great wings. Can any of you tell me if there is such a place in flagstaff anymore?

WSU will be taking a bus of students to the game NAU game coming up next week!!

Any recommendations on food places?

Will the Jack Pack welcome us with open arms or through apples at us?

I give those guys credit for taking a bus all the way to Flagstaff just for a football game. They must be super dedicated fans. All I can say is that there will be some sore butts on that bus. I don't know how many hours it is from Ogden to Flagstaff, but I sure as heck wouldn't go all the way there for only one game. I hope it will be a good game to make their long trip worth while!

Go Jacks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really it is a long drive...but when ur on a bus full of your own fans the whole experience ends up being a lot more fun than you think! It's pretty cool stopping at a gas station and 50 of you all in purple walk in at the same time!

Its about 10 hrs away...we have had previous trips to ISU only 2 hrs away, and Montana State 6 hrs. Those are our 2 closest and UM is about 7 hrs.

Many of us are excited as we've never been to NAU...

We took buses to the NCAA Tourney in 2003 (Spokane 300-500 of us) and 2007 (Sacramento about 100 of us) both were about 12 bus rides and the entire time was great!

Food in Flagstaff....not as many options as an area the size of metro Salt Lake City but still good for its size.

I'm not including steak and high end fare as I'm guessing that most of your are college(ish) aged folks. Therefore, I'm using my powers of deduction that you're probably on a gas station hotdog budget so I'm giving suggestions accordingly.

Beaver Street Brewery (worked there and was a consistent patron) by the tracks s. of Route 66 on 11 S. Beaver Street ..... brew pub fare....pizza, pasta, sandwiches, tasty microbrew....never got tired of it even after grubbing around in kitchen for a year

Mountain Oasis 11 E. Aspen Ave healthy/hippie fare but tasty

Mike and Ronda's 21 S. Milton (close to railroad trestle by Rt. 66).... probably the best breakfast bargain... mountains of grease to fill your bellies and kill off the foulest of hangovers....I truly miss this place

three Thai restaurants round town....all good....Dara Thai is my favorite

Mexican...favorite was La Fonda 1900 N. 2nd St....damn, I miss good Mexican food....the ketchup that's passed off as salsa on average up here offends me

The Black Bean Burrito (downtown) 12 E. Route 66 # 104 in the little plaza by Flagstaff Brewing Company right off Rt. 66 wraps of all different varieties.....loved this place

Lotsa chain restaurants

Hope this helps.

Let me know if anyone in the crew has any bar inquiries.

Have fun. Wish I was to partake in the game.

MTJack
