Last year, coach went to Ken Pomeroy for a statistical analysis. Pomeroy pointed out that improving 3 point defense would help the team win more games. The coaching staff implemented and we became one of the top teams in perimeter defense.

This year I think we need to focus on mental toughness and executing under pressure. Lets bring in some top psychologists to work with the team, especially Berry and Tresnek on delivering under pressure. In my opinion, this was the one major weakness on a great team.

Went from being one of the best freethrow shooting teams to one of the worst (ok not worst but bad) in one year, and it was mostly with the same players too.

Uh, Damian Lillard??? Last I checked he took a high percentage of most of our free throws last season.

let's not get carried away here. Did the free throw shooting suck Tuesday night yes. Did it cost them the game, probably. But for the season Weber wasn't that bad. 72%. Berry shot 76%, Tres was 70%. Otis was even 64% (!!). Compared to other Big Sky schools? Mont shot 77%, ND shot 71%, Mont St shot 72%.
Would I have preferred that Weber shoot closer to 80% as a team, yes. Last year's team shot 81%. But as was already noted, Lillard, who shot 89% took over 1/3 of the team's total foul shots.
