Offensive Line

Good article in Trib today about how the offensive line is trying to improve. They'll have a great test opening night in SLC. If they don't improve, it's going to be another long season. I'm hoping our new o-line coach will help. They certainly weren't coached up last season.

Wow, seems like they were very serious about doing their best to improve over the Summer and were aware and honest about their weaknesses. Shows a lot of maturity.

Having an O-Line coach around full-time has to help. I can't imagine them taking a drop off. Good things always happen from the center out, and since Solomon is a senior, he should be able to command the rest of the Hog Mollies. They will definitely have a handful on the 30th, but that could only make them better.

Yes, Brian Blechen is suspended for the first 3 games of the season. Quade Chappius should be the starter while he is out. Blechen has a much greater chance to make a home run play then Chappius but also has been known to get out of position looking to make that play. Chappius is not on the same level as Blechen but he is very assignment sound and usually wont give up a big play but wont make one either.

I heard the Utes will be without their All-American safety who is suspended?

Yes, but they will still have their other All-American safety Eric Rowe.

Sounds crazy I know but both of them were freshman all-americans.

And the defensive Tackle Star Loutuleilei has been named to several pre-season all-american lists.
