Offensive Starters

Almost one week from kickoff! Just wondering, who will be the offensive starters? Best I can figure is listed below. If anyone has any better info than me, help me revise.

QB-Higgins,C*
RB-Smith*
FB-Cosper
WR-Toone*
WR-Phillips*
TE-Nakamura*
C-Mutcher*
G-Oram*
G-Harris,T
T-Wilcox
T-Cruz

*=Returning Starter

I could be wrong, but I though Harris was finished. Last I heard he hurt his back during rehab and will not return. I hope I'm wrong, cause that guy was real good when he was playing with Hale and Tsupous

I think you are right whereamI. I'm most concerned about the OL. There isn't a lot of depth and a couple more injuries really could hurt the cats. However, I was really worried about the OL last year also, and we all know how good they ended up being. So... One never knows.

I hope you all got the chance to read in the Standard the article on the DL. Mac said that he envisions all 13 being involved this season. There are six freshman and three sophmores!! Thats a young line, but if Mac says they'll be good, then I'll believe it.

Don't be surprised if Tafuna is the starter at full back. Especially if Cosper's injuries continue.

You could be right. I'm not up to speed on all the injuries. I've just tried to piece things together using the roster on Weber's site, last year's stats, and news articles. Who will start at the other guard? Tutuila? Anybody know anything else about the fullback spot? (Tough to replace Marcus, who scored a TD for the eagles last night) And by the way, much like their marketing, Weber's athletic web site is kind of a joke. How about some updates on the player bios and maybe a story or two about camp. Hope I don't offend anyone, but shouldn't the marketing and web site match the recent success and excitement that the football team is giving us? GO CATS!

I check the stupid roster and bios page everyday. I did hear however that the Oline is meshing well. Not sure on Tutuila though. A player I talked to before camp said he's been MIA since he got injured last year. Hopefully He's been working out alone in his basement like Clubber Lang.

side note: Looks like Wyoming benched both of last years quarterbacks in favor of a JC tranfer and true freshman. Christriansen said his runningbacks have under performed all camp, and their stud Dlinemen is questionable for week one with an ankle injury... blood in the water.

The D-Line was great against Wyoming!
