Man has Olaniyi Sobomehin turned into a pleasant surprise. I was scared when bobby got hurt but Olaniyi has really stepped up.

You had to know he'd do something coming off the prep career he had. I hope this year they can bring in another talented back to fill in for Bobby next year if need be.

They better bring another runningback for next year! I don't want to see anymore converted LB's in the backfield, not they haven't done a admirable job, but it is a sign of a lack of depth and planning.

Let's be honest. Have they done an admirable job? Outside of Sobomenhin, there's nobody. He's probably overworked, and gets less carries as a result. He's been great the last two weeks, and the bye should help him recover, but how long can he keep this up?

Nee has been incredible this year. Thats what you talk about when players get thrust into starting rolls and they step up. I also agree with Forestgreen that they need 2 quality running backs next year to take the pressure off of Bobby and give him a rest on long drives.

I believe Sobomehin is on the injured reserve list now for New Orleans.

New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced Sunday that the club has signed fullback Olaniyi Sobomehin to the active roster and terminated the contract of tight end Sean Ryan.

Sobomehin is a rookie running back that signed with the Saints as a free agent out of Portland State University in the days following the NFL draft in April. The 6-1, 230-pound fullback played in all four of the team’s preseason games in August, catching one pass for five yards. He was waived in the team’s final round of roster cuts and subsequently re-signed to the practice squad prior to the regular season opener.
