Hey folks, I'm here because you guys will be visiting Cal Poly in a few weeks and Southern Utah doesn't seem to have any fans online. My question is this, do any of you remember a quarterback for the Wildcats from the late seventies/early eighties named Bill Tantillo? I doubt he set any records there, but he was my high school quarterback at Branham High School in San Jose California. Just wondering if any of you remember him?

I do remember seeing the name, but I don't have any recollection of his play. I'm old too, and that is a distant memory for me. He!!, yesterday might be distant for me. :lol:Polydad said:
The best QB we ever had, Jamie Martin, came out of California, as I recall. He went on to play several years in the NFL. As I remember it, he kind of slipped to us when all the PACX schools got their first choices and left him hanging. That happens from time to time.
Our QB this year is a former walk on. He isn't the most physically gifted player you will see, but he is a tough kid and a real gamer.

Not too old for me but I didn't recognize the name, maybe because I'd been living in Idaho for a few years at that time. Anyways, any WSU QB who can have this kind of game and a W against the Griz is a great guy to me :clap:

Good find. That's a little before I started attending games. First I've heard of Tantillo, but I recognize another guy mentioned in the article, Roger Ruzek. I remember following Ruzek a bit as he played in the NFL for several years.SWWeatherCat said:
