I've never had a win feel so much like a lost!

Really? Felt like a great win to me. I didn't walk into the Dee last night expecting a 10-20 point win. In fact, given how the team has fared I was thinking a loss was very much in the cards.

Keep in mind, 1 turnover for the team the entire 2nd half, and Senglin was on the floor for the whole 2nd half.
He had more turnovers than assist. Seems crazy that he played over 35 minutes and had two assist the whole game. I'm not sure if a charging call is a turnover, but he's also good for 1-2 charging calls a game.

Seniors next year are Joel, Chris, and Jae. This team will not only be much better next year, but they will continue to get better this year. I've seen improvement already. You are all forgetting the slow start we had last year, and how good we were by the end of the season. This team is extremely young. We all knew it would be an up and down beginning to the season. We have high expectations for our program, and rightfully so. They will get there. We just need to stick with them. Win or lose, this is a fun bunch to watch.

Totally agree that there has been some improvement, but not everyone will continue to improve at the same pace. I am truly excited that we have barely scratched the surface on what some of the younger players could become. There might even be some fall out, either thru injury or other attrition. Yes, we had a slow start last year and I am crossing my fingers that we can win the BSC this year but honestly I am just not sure at this point. I am guessing we will see numerous changes before all is said and done. Let's hope the team has what it takes to get there.

One major issue with our low assist rates is the number of missed shots. The last few seasons the Cats have been one of the top shooting teams in the nation. Now, is our current conundrum because our team is composed of poor shooters, or is it being confounded by semi-selfish play? Our team is terrible when our players try to play one on one ball, but when they make the extra pass and move in the offense there are far more open looks and they look pretty good. Personally, I feel the one of the biggest issues is the lack of movement by the players on the court. To much standing around, which causes ball handlers to play more one on one rather than making passes. No one to pass to if no one is moving. That could be another reason why there are so few assists and too much one and one play going on.

After watch the last few games and reading some of the comments I think these are the issues I see; youth, players out of their natural position, and our own over the top expectations. We are younger then we any of us realized. Yes Hajek is a senior and a great teammate but being injured on the sidelines multiple times doesn't give you the experience you can get being in games, then we start 3 sophomores and Joel, our JC guys are just that and we must remember not all JC players go to D1 schools so the level of competition is not the same, and Gittens is 18 or just turned 19 enough said.
Joel will dominate most 4 but against bigger and stronger 5s he may be getting worn down by them. Hill when have watched is much more active at the 3 then the 4 he seems to be fighting with who he is and where he is right now. Jeremy is struggling with trying to be Dev, JRich, or Dam instead of just being himself.
We got our expectations over the top after the NCAA tournament but we may not have realized just how much we lost. Not just scoring and leadership but finishers outside and inside and the lost of Royce was bigger then any of us really knew. Joel is still learning how to play with his back to the basket it didn't just happen for Tres. I looked at last yrs. stats Tres averaged 6 Rebs/13pts, Hill is averaging the same in Rebs 6.2 but then 7.3 pts. The difference is when Hill plays the 4 we don't run one play for him all we have him do is set screens but with Tres every time down our offense started with getting him the ball. Let them grow up and enjoy the ride because they are all going to grow and sooner then later. That's when it will really be fun. Go Wildcats
