Oregon @ Stanford

Oregon lost to Stanford, Stanford lost to Utah, Utah lost to Oregon State, Oregon State lost to Eastern Washington. Eastern Washington should be in a BCS Bowl Game... :)

@NOTSportsCenter posted a tweet that said

REPORT: Eastern Washington will move up to #2 next week since they beat Oregon State, who beat Utah, who beat Stanford, who beat Oregon. #BCSlogic

It's had a lot of favorites and retweets. That win is still paying dividends. :-)

Frankly, the scoreline flattered Oregon. Two of their TDs came off a blocked FG return and an onside kick recovery. In the meantime, Stanford took a lot of FGs from the red zone.

Interesting, how bout Baylor? I really believe Alabama and Stanford are the two best tems, but Baylor might be number 3. I don't believe either Florida State or Ohio State deserve consideration.

My point was the lower ranked team with the strong running game and good def. shut down the higher scoring, higher ranked, wide open offensive team for about 55 minutes, and ultimately held on for the win.
The Heisman Trophy candidate QB had a very bad game due to pressure he could not adjust to.

A little less removed than the EWU > OSU > Utah > Stanford > Oregon, but does OSU's close loss to Stanford help our SOS a little more? They were down 7, first and goal from the 3 or so at the end of the game, but Stanford kept them out four times in a row.

MSU might have some running success tomorrow, but in no way comparable to what Stanford did to Oregon last night. Stanford by running and controlling the line of scrimmage had a time of possession of over 42 minutes and was 14 of 21 (67%) on 3rd down conversions. MSU will not get close to either of those stats tomorrow. I think the only chance that MSU has to stay with the EAGS is to do it by passing, and I don’t think that will happen either.
