Interesting. We'll see who they hire to replace her. She had that program on the rise. J.R. now gets to work with Angela Munger who is an academic advisor at Santa Clara.

Wow. Now that's a stunner. Seems the coaches who have had some success in a tough league the past few years are all leaving for better paid opportunities. Can't say I blame them, they have families and stuff but I didn't know she was looking.

Wonder when was the last time two head coaches left in the same year?

It sort of happened in 2012: Laurie Kelly left NAU for Gustavus Adolphus while (incoming) NoDak's Gene Roebuck retired. Retirement isn't quite the same as promotion, though, and Kelly's flight was a family-related stepdown (though she likely wouldn't have lasted much longer with the 'Jacks anyway).

The previous time there were two simultaneous departures in the Big Sky for any reason was in 2004 when both George Wolfe & Robin Potera-Haskins were fired.

I have no idea when the last time two coaches voluntarily left for "greener" pastures was. I didn't really start paying attention until '01-02, and it would've been sometime before that.

Technically I guess three coaches left this year since Craighead left a month before the season started to take the San Jose State job and had Tony Gianotti as one of her assistants.
