Wow...You are right. Maybe Weber should petition the NCAA requesting that future tournament games against the Griz should end after the first half. YIKES!!
I was really impressed with the adjustments Tinkle made in the second half. Weber looked completely lost on the basketball court. We had the wrong personnel in the game at the wrong times, the offense wasn't in rythmn at all, and our shot selection was terrible. Way to much one on one crap. Weber went away from playing team ball, and frankly, they aren't talented enough to do that. I really wish that Weber would figure out how to beat a full court press. I don't understand why teams don't go to the press against Weber more often. Hughey has had a really hard time his entire career, with Weber, breaking the press. He got used in the second half. He isn't a PG, and he has had to play PG since D-Lill went down, and has done an admirable job of it. Heaven's Weber wouldn't have achieved what they did without him, but yesterday just wasn't his day.
On another note. I really like Jamaar over Stockton. When Stockton went down, I knew the Grizz were getting a better player on the floor. I don't understand why Tinkle keeps going with Stockton, if it wasn't for his last name, he wouldn't be playing DI ball. Anyway, I think the Grizz will have their hands full tonight, but I envision that they will win. If not, I'm sure that the Grizz will get an invite to either the CBI or the CIT (not the most glamerous, but still a post-season Tourny). Now if the Grizz win, I'm thinking that Weber has an outside chance at getting an invite to the CIT, cause UNC will go to the NIT. Anyway, good luck.
