Michigan is offering him a scholarship as a graduate transfer. Would hate for him to leave, but would be a great opportunity for him. Would be hard to pass up.

I wish him the best if he decides to go. Michigan is a great school and I certainly wouldn't fault him for going (although I would hate to see him punt against my Nittany Lions).

My only concern with this and the Vernon Adams situation is that this transfer rule seems to be turning the FCS into a minor league feeder system for the FBS. Clearly this rule does not to help schools like weber and ewu since these student can only transfer to a school that has a graduate program that their current school doesn't have. I going to try and give the NCAA the benefit of the doubt and say that they probably didn't realize that FBS schools would start recruiting the cream of the crop FCS players who were eligible for this loophole, but it sure brings up some ethical questions and I would be shocked if these questions were addressed by the NCAA. They really want to keep the power schools happy.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't O'Neil already in a program at Weber? Didn't he sign an LOI? He was a graduate student last year. If that is the case, wouldn't the same transfer rules apply?
