Peery to Utah State?

I saw on another site that Peery, along with 4 or 5 other coaches were serious candidates for the Utah State position. I would hate to see him go so quickly from the Park Blocks, but these things happen. Let's just hope he doesn't get it!!!

The little bit of "comment stream" I can find and the 24/7 article on this both pay no in-depth attention to Peery. I'm seeing no consensus, so who knows... but I'd bet they look at Peery's conference season more than his preseason. Boise State seems to value preseason over conference, Utah State not so much.
Almost get the sense that they could drift toward Tommy Lloyd, Gonzaga assistant with foreign recruiting expertise. But that's an almost. Or they'd play for Jim Les (current UC Davis coach, former Jazz player). Of course, we know well Peery was a name we kind of disregarded until he was announced here, so nothing different there. Utah State MIGHT cleave more to experience (consider how long they stuck with Stew Morrill).
One thing of note from discussions: Heath Schroyer's name came up... which only tells us that their discussion has lingered on a bit, because Schroyer was just announced as the new McNeese State HC. Ken Bone just joined Lorenzo Romar at Pepperdine. Sorry.. tangent due to research, except to note how these things flow from one place to another.
So... not sure I'd stress about this.

Surprised Rahe's name wasn't on the list. Utah State has to think they are a better job than Weber and with DeCuire and Peery mentioned, I would have thought Rahe would (like DeCuire and Peery, I doubt they are interested, but still...). Likewise, interesting that Damon is listed. :shake:
Too early to tell, but I don't think Peery is going anywhere. PSU had an impressive non-conference, but the conference, the tournament and the CIT all were pretty much average. Also, this was just his first year coaching DI basketball. I'd agree with Pounder on this (imagine that
