Penguin Suspensions

I doubt it'd be on the news if BS. However, I totally agree that it probably won't have much of an impact on the final outcome of the game. I'm sure they have plenty of players to step up. This is a really great team we're going to be playing.

Summit County records reveal show Ruiz is charged with carrying a concealed weapon and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle.

The comments area below the article reads like eGriz  ...sounds like he is not very well liked in the community despite their success..I am eternally grateful for Coach Baldwin and his coaching philosophy.

Someone posted names on their forum if this is accurate....HUGE BLOW!
two of their top 3 all purpose guys
and two of their top 3 tacklers

List posted on YSU board:

Darien Townsend -- WR hasn't played much
LeRoy Alexander -- SS
Jameel Smith -- FS
Martin Ruiz -- RB

Not sure what the impact of these potential losses would be to YSU.

Well there you go. Townsend has played every game
Townsend, Darien 14-14 32 525 16.4 4 85 37.5

Ruiz only had one carry last week. Jody Webb get's the majority of the snaps.

The safeties are the bigger issue IMHO. Alexander and Smith have 6 of the teams 10 interceptions this year

Even more it appears he is their first choice punt returner and a factor in kick returning. Though I'd hope that returning punts isn't a factor for them this weekend.

Webb only got a majority last week, and that was related to these same discipline issues. They are used to working with a stable in the backfield like we are. Ruiz received 30% of their carries this season, slightly ahead of Webb's 27%.

I think you are still correct that the safeties will be the bigger impact.
