wow, we played horribly....very discouraging offense - ? shot selection when o-boards are pretty much non-existent. Lots to work on, the number one ranking is looking pretty premature and inaccurate at this point. Hopefully they can get things figured out. Need Wade to be that inside presence, hope she is on the road to recovery :-). As usual the more touches on the ball the better the shot selection...they often seemed to be too quick to put up 3's which is great if the miss is collected but that didn't seem to happen at all.

Agreed. We played poorly. Not at all l,ike a first place ranking should have us. In fact, we looked like the men's team, uncoordinated. Not like a team at all. Trying to work the freshmen in is costing us. We're going to be clobbered over the next few games if we don't straighten this out.

they will figure it out...but they need to trust themselves and their teammates to work the ball around more. Seems they have gunslinger offense mentality, not working together very well. You have to wonder what's happening behind the scenes to demoralize them, at least they seem to be playing with low self esteem, not like champions that's for sure. Hate to see it, but they all know how to win as individuals, they just need to do it as a team. They will be fine eventually, sooner rather than later would be good but I'm sure they don't like the way things feel either.

Stats do say something. We had 18 fouls to their 9 - you could argue that we lost the game on fouls (with Boise State we definitely lost on fouls). Then again, we had fewer assists than Portland, 16-14. That's not a big difference, but it does say something about playing as a team. A good team always has more assists. Aside from Faucher, they're playing as individuals.

Not sure I agree that "aside from Faucher they are playing as individuals"....think they could all move the ball more, not just look for the one assist...sometimes she does that to a fault, doesn't get her team involved enough. It seems like they all get one touch and they yak up something because they think they won't get the ball again - they are too quick to yak up 3's as witnessed again vs. wisconsin, first half was one pass then shoot the long ball and give the other team the board, it's so frustrating to listen to the offense, there is none except claire, the assist (if it goes - which is good) and maybe a 3 off one pass. Terrible, if you ask me...no working the ball, spreading the lane, looking for the best shot; making me crazy. okay well tomorrow they can try again. Don't get me wrong, Claire is an awesome player but the game involves 5 people.

Fullerton, should have beat them, what the heck was Sherri thinking at the end....Claire had 3 quick fouls within 2 min or something ridiculous during OT...she played 40 min, why? rubber legs and desperation, not fair to Claire or the team. Now they get to play UO who lost by a buzzer beater to UW, they will be pissed, great! Can we be done now? No way will our starters be able to keep up with the runnning game tomorrow after the last 2 games. It's so annoying to watch this team implode. Maybe Sherri's wins were all due to Kahle and not her coaching, hmmmmmmmmmm that's probably fairly blasphemous but it's a thought, esp when considering WSU.
