Playoff Bracket Prediction . . Questionable

Usually I believe this guy is pretty close to the mark, but putting us as a 7 seed is a little questionable. I have no problem being ranked below Sam Houston but a 7 is waaaaayyyyy tooo low. Up we lost to SAM HOUSTON, but our other loss is to Toledo.
Plus having Montana State play Dakota in the second round just seems  (poor) as well.

In all honesty, seeing what we have accomplished and what we have ahead of us, I believe this is a fair prediction. I know we always want a good seed, but I don't blame an outsider looking in making this prediction. At least we are predicted with a seed.

If you read the notes at the top, it looks like he just wanted to set up the game against NDSU that MSU pulled out of...and he does admit that he doesn't have a clue who the best team to come out of the Big Sky will be (join the club until the next few weeks when we all play one another).

If he's assuming we'll finish 9-3 and given the likely outcomes for the other remaining seeds, this a very reasonable bracket.

Who the F should we lose too on the way out? If our defensive coaching effort improves no reason to have anyone hang an "L" on this team. If you don't like the Sporting News bracket, here is one where the guy thinks EWU is the class of the Big Sky.

Montana State, Montana, and Cal Poly are all really good teams that can beat anyone in the conference. Even Idaho State is much improved and Portland has a really scary offense. Finishing up the season at 9-3 would be great considering how difficult our schedule is.

God why does everyone put us and Sam Houston in the same side of the bracket???
I like this bracket obviously a lot more, but McNeese worries me a little, but love the potential 2nd round game of Nova or getting App! A whole lot of history there.

Sounds like this to me:

EWU only loses a game if we beat ourselves i.e. turnovers or poor D scheme. Don't know about you guys on this board, but I actually watch these other teams play and haven't seen any one of them that can hold a candle (last week Montana - CP was not pretty). MSU may be the only one that can play with EWU offensively and we get them at home. VA is more savvy than McGhee and EWU is running the ball a lot better this season with multiple threats out of the backfield and options in the passing game. So to reiterate, if the defensive coaching steps up to the challenges each opponent presents, NO ONE should beat Eastern on the way out. Doubts aside on any adjustment being made, this is a damn fine football team and look forward to seeing them play each and every week. Proud of Beau and this team. Smile man, this is a great time to be an Eagle. :D
