So after watching MSU absolutely get destroyed by Sam Houston does Montana have any chance against them? Im not sure they do. If the game was in Montana it would be different but i dont really see Montana going to Texas and winning.

I watched the griz vs UNI game Friday night and the Mont St vs SHSU Saturday morning. It's gonna be a close game. I don't think the griz have faced anyone like kats this season. With that said, and the home field advantage that SHSU will have, it will be the bearkats' game.

I don't know what you guys are smoking. Montana completely destroyed UNI, which is one of the better programs in the country. Most fans nationwide consider SHSU to be one of the "softer" #1 seeds in a long time. I fully expect a close game and even a Griz win straight up. I'm disappointed, though, that the Kitties didn't get the job done to set up Brawl of the Wild II. About the only thing that would be better than that for FCS West football would be Causeway II in the Finals....

Looks like we're smoking the right stuff. Montana lost. Sucks to see the conference mate go down, but SHSU is the better team.

I have alot of friends who went to SHSU, they are a great example of a floundering program transformed by a new two-year in the position HC.
Just sayin....

Uh, L.A., the question wasn't whether Montana would win but the assumption that Montana would get stomped. It was only a disastrous first quarter that did them in. In fact, one could say that Montana dominated the second half.

One does have to give props to SHSU's scatback #20. Even in the midst of the Griz defense almost completely shutting down the Bearkat offense in the second half, he STILL busted some lose. That one on 4th and 1 when I was expecting them to punt sealed the deal. It was a gutsy call on the part of the SHSU coach, and was rewarded.

I only saw the first quarter and SHSU was pwning UM. I did hear a faint “pop” coming from the direction of Lodi later during the evening so I figure SH’s head exploded when UM blew yet another playoff run. :lol: :clap:

I was watching the game at our local Italian catering place having dinner. Fortunately, I was able to sweet-talk the server girls into switching from the Food Network to the game, which was conveniently on ESPN. It was about midway through the third when I tuned in. The Griz were actually dominating by the time the fourth quarter started, outside of a few times when that SHSU scatback popped free. Unfortunately, that disaster of a first quarter was really what did the Griz in.

And, yes, I was majorly p!$$ed at the result. Particularly given that I also lost the other game, the D-III Championship Game, AND (on Sunday) the Denver game. One loser of a weekend for me, even if my Cowboys DID get a win. I almost called Coach Kentera to vent.
