I'm not comfortable with EJ running the point when Sommer is out of the game.

EJ has talent and is going to be great, but last night in the first half is an example of what concerns me. Sommer went out after falling on his back and the EJ turned the ball over a couple times and the offense went very cold. Sure, UM had switched into a zone from man, but we can't have TOs like that.

Talent/Upside/Potential, sure. But we're in the thick of things in the BSC and we can't have the offense go cold because the point is turning the ball over. Didn't we get a bunch more minutes out of Sommer last year?

Yes, we did. I think Sommer is still not 100% healthy, and that's why he isn't in the game for 35 minutes or more.

I agree that EJ is making way too many freshman mistakes. It seems every time he goes in, he makes a mistake, and then Sommer needs to come back in after very little rest. EJ has potential, but even as a freshman you're expected to at least not turn the ball over and make huge mistakes.
