Sweet pics, Screamin! I was about one section to your left that day. I remember walking across the UM campus after the game and fighting the overwhelming urge to break into the Fred Flintstone Happy Dance.

You fought the urge? :D

Figured it was better to fight that than a handful of pissed off Griz fans!

Was reading some stuff on the '05 season the other day, and was shocked at the number of times Meyer was sacked in early games that year - six or seven against ISU alone! If I remember right we had a ton of OL hurt, guys playing out of place, Freshmen starting, etc.

Not to be too ticky tack with you, but no freshman o-line started that year. I think I would have remembered that. That year was a lot of sophomores, most notably Matt Alfred and Rocky Hanni, two of the best O-lineman we've ever had.

It's close, but I went with Matt. I always knew when we were going to win a close game just by seeing his confidence in the huddle. Of course Myers has had some phenomenal performances. I just think that Matt was a more prolific passer and was more dangerous on the run. I think you don't have to look much further than last years NAU game.

I was a student during the '97 play-off run as well........Although it's probably not fair to compare him to Meyer or Nichols, Harry has to be included on this list just because of his Senior year alone. The Leons to Ogden connection was pretty much unstoppable that season. Favorite memory of that season was winning the game against Idaho at Joe Albi in the last minute. Leons hit Ogden in the end zone with seconds left. Ogden took such a big hit that he got knocked unconscious for a couple seconds - but still held on to the ball and scored the winning TD. It was epic.[/quote]

Ogden's TD in the Idaho game is on my short list for "Play of the Year" in '97. That one, and Makenzie's TD run against Western Kentucky in the playoffs are the top two. #3 goes to one of my buddies doing a club-and-arm-over move past a security guard to rush the field when we beat Northridge to win the Big Sky! :D
