i would think if only fcs are added to the current wac 6 that usu could be a new power (lol). what about hawaii, will they really go indepedent or stay? anyone know? bulla, u still on here? what about la tech? i dont like the idea really of losing teams because i dont want any DII's to join.

i keep hearing sac, psu, um are candidates along with poly and davis. how do we know who is really on the wac's list. assuming there will be a wac.

it would suck to not have the montanas in the big sky but trying to in a football title becomes easier. as well it would affect basketball somewhat. UM is top 3 about every year on the hardwood much like we are.

there are no teams we have played more in basketball in the nation in our history than UM/MSU/ISU - every year since 1963.

From a football perspective, the only good candidates for moving "up" would be Montana, and to a lesser extent Montana State, due to acceptable FBS football attendance averages of 24,417, and 13,283.

You have to be kidding. Montana would not have 5-6 losses per year. The way the WAC will be configured, they will be fighting for the top position with U of Idaho, Hawaii, or Ut State. None of the other teams would be good enough to invite to the Big Sky let alone be a challenge for Montana. Let them go if they want to be in a league that is more irrelevant in football than the Big Sky

What a "wonderful" thing to rise to....being rated right next to USU and U of I! Would they be willing to give up an annual trip to the playoffs(17 straight and counting) and chance at a legit Nat'l Championship or would they aspire to a trip to the Humanitarian Bowl once every 3 or 4 years?
