Why not treat SOU as the NFL would treat the pre-season? That is, start Safron, play him for about a quarter, give Vercher a quarter and a half, and then give McDade a quarter and a half? Go with the hot hand next week....

McDade, no one else efin scored. I hope they score in the next game!?!?

These guys need to get as angry as a bunch of Hornets. Otherwise, the giant target on their back is going to weigh them down and this will be a very short season.

I voted for Vercher, but had to flip the coin between Vercher or scorched earth.

Another possible option is a an open call campus wide tryout for QB. Kadeezy get your cousin warming up..

You guys know that the reason why we played SJSU and ASU is just for the money. I just hope that the players don't get down and question themselves or their coach.

The money was the necessary but not the only reason. You go into every game and try as hard as you can to win. If the Hornets where there just for the money they never would have beaten Oregon State and Colorado. They played hard and was competitive in the San Jose game despite their offensive mistakes and poor execution. Honestly if they play like they played at San Jose they would lose to half of the Big Sky teams. The Arizona State game was a different story, they were clearly over matched. If the players or coaches " get down and question themselves" instead of working to fix the problems and moving on they should be in the drama department and not on the football field.

We need to start putting the wheels back on Saturday night vs Southern Oregon. We need a win Saturday night, I don't care who starts or plays or what the score is as long as we win. It would be great to see all 3 QBs be able to show what they can do, or at least the two new ones. I would have liked to see what they could have done late in the San Jose game when if was clear that Safron was not effective, we had nothing to lose.
I've heard a lot of good things about Vercher but it was kind of hard to evaluate anything by throwing him into that mess at Tempe.

It also helps in recruiting to tell a player that they are going to play against a Pac-12 team every year. When you plays these teams, you want to show well as a school too. Sac State may be overmatched physically, but that is not an excuse to not execute. You go in with a solid game plan and execute and you will put up some points and compete. Can't go into these games saying it doesn't matter because we got paid.

I didn't expect to win both these games, but I expected to be competitive against SJSU. I don't think people are overreacting. I think it's obvious that something just wasn't right over these last 2 weeks and we could be in trouble if it's not fixed very quickly. Good news is there is time to fix it.
