OK...on it's surface, this game may provide the Wildcat's best chance for that elusive first WIN. But beneath the surface lies this game's matchups between the Vikings & Wildcats (with a history of wild results), the unending cost of missteps, turnovers, penalties from the eager 'Cats. Several questions: will Clark start over Green?; will the depleted depth chart bite hard? Wildcats have FIGHT in them--climb over the hurdle this time at home in a colorful purple, pink & green game: Weber State by 14 pts!!

Weber gets first W here, which fuels momentum for 3 more by season's end.

Clark seemed to spark the team with quicker reads and mobility, but in the short time he was on the field he nearly had two fumbles for turnovers. Will he be able to take care of the ball with the unrelenting pressure the O-Line is allowing?

WSU will FINALLY break into the Win column this Saturday win a win over the Vik's from Portland. It will be interesting to see who starts at QB for WSU also, lets just go ahead and fair catch EVERY punt return. And as any little leaguer knows, if the punt is rolling or bouncing on the ground then get the hell out of the way.

Who starts at QB?? I think we see Billy start, but I wouldn't doubt to see Clark get some reps in the game. I'm not going to say the Cats win. Yes, I think they should, but then again, they should have beaten SUU, Sac, SFA, and Poly...so...I really hope, though, that the Cats are 1-7 next week at this time.

I won't be picking this or any other game a win until this team proves they won't piss down their leg at critical times. I think they can win this game, but I've also thought that four or five other times this season.

Each game matchup assumes it's own character, but my prediction of a Wildcat WIN is based on the record of PSU so far: 2-5 overall/ 1-2 Big Sky (the two wins are vs Western Oregon & UC Davis (conf. win)). They were walloped by Cal Poly & lost last week to NAU, but only by 4 pts. in Portland. Based on Weber State being competitive in all BSC games so far, and yes, if it weren't for the damn miscues/turnovers, would have something other than a goose-egg in the win column, this appears the right time! Maybe a few more good chances coming up but there's no UC Davis on the schedule and for those counting on a auto win over ISU, check their record! GO WILDCATS!! :twocents:

An auto win over ISU isn't going to be the case this year. Kramer has his team cooking so far. Arias and the ISU offense is scary good. They probably should have beaten Eastern. There is a lot of parity in the Sky this season. Even though Weber is 0-7 that doesn't mean the Cats are push overs either. Weber only got beat by Arizona State. Every other game the Cats have shown up to play. I really thought that we'd get the win last Saturday, but like every other week this Fall, our boys screwed it up. So, I'm not going to be predicting wins/losses anymore either. I'm just hoping for a W. I think Weber can do it, but we will just have to wait and see. Our offensive line is in desperate need of help. If it was up to me, I'd have Wilcox and Oliverson starting at Tackle, Young and Hawkins at Guard, and Land in the Center.

Okay, so, and this is totally heresay, but I heard that Jadrian Clark will be starting against the Viks on Saturday. Nothing against Billy, we all know he is a really good QB. He just has too many TOs in the red zone. I'm sure he will right the ship and show his abilities. But after Jadrian's 1 quarter of play, hell, how could Hill not give him the nod?

Does anyone know how FREE tickets to this game can be found? Clearly there has to be some type of "promotion" giving away tickets to this one.

It's Hill Air Force Base Appreciation Day so I'm sure free tickets are available on the base.

If the Big Sky no longer considers football to be a "core" sport, then it is time to have a serious discussion about whether or not WSU should maintain a football program.

Yep 0-8 sucks, could have, should have, won a few games already. I'm not going to bail on Hill and the Cat's in 1 season. Hill and company are going to turn this program around, the players he has recruited are better than what Sears had, and the games are entertaining to watch.

The team is a walking MASH unit and until the coaches have a chance to build some depth to the program we will continue to see a gap between our starters and their back-ups. Perfect example today Tela (HOPING HE'S OK) gets hurt on a freak play and our defense turns into a porous mess. I am not sure how many OL men we have out but we can't effectively run the ball so we are a 1 dimensional team on offense. That makes life so much easier for the opponents DB's being able to key on just the passing game.
