Portland State @ Montana State - Thread

This game will show us what's ahead in 2010 for these Vikings. Montana State smacked EWU around two weeks ago, a week after EWU beat Montana. You could make an argument that this will be our toughest FCS game of the regular season. Should be interesting.

I agree. MSU looks like the top team in the conference so far. They should have beat Wazzu.

I really dont have a good measure of where you guys are this year, I know that Glanville left a lot of talent and I have to expect some improvement after leaving that gimmicky offense behind but just dont really know what to expect.

On our side you can expect a vastly improved offense and a defense that probably has a chip on their shoulder after being shredded by Sac St. We hope to get a few key players back this week that will go a long way to fix some problems in our pass defense.

I am hoping for a good game, I will watch this one from home since my son will be playing JH football that morning. :D

I think this will be a tough game and I wouldn't be surprised if we dropped our next two. However, our performances against UCD and ISU give me hope that we can rattle off several consecutive victories toward the end of the season.

It will be interesting to see how we play against MSU. ISU is ISU, and we won't keep MSU out of the endzone. On the flip side, I don't see them putting up 64 points again.

It sure would be nice to end the string of losses in Bozeman this weekend.

It should be a tight game if we can keep the penalties down. Odds are MSU will beat us, but I'm not so sure about Montana the following week. Should be interesting, new coach against new coach. 6-2 is unlikely, but we could win 4-5. I'm waiting to see JT catch a touchdown pass. And bless the O line! Hope they hold up.

And I like your "under the radar and on the rise", Marty. We have one advantage - nobody pays much attention to us until game time.

As I was setting my dvr for the game, I came across this on goviks.com. Comcast is now going to be tape delaying the game for a few hours. Hopefully nobody records the game at 12:30 and sits down to watch the it later to find the Ducks game instead. Either way, it's sure nice to have another game on t.v. instead of watching on my horrible computer.

Due to the addition of the Washington State/Oregon football game to the Comcast Sports Net schedule on Saturday, Portland State's football game at Montana State will no longer be seen live. The Washington State/Oregon televised broadcast will begin at 1:30 on CSN bumping the PSU game.

Portland State and Montana State will kick off at 12:35 p.m. PT in Bozeman on Saturday. The game can be heard live on Freedom 970 AM or http://www.970.am with the pregame show starting at 11:30 a.m. It can also be seen on a live video stream at http://www.b2tv.com. The game will air on CSN (ch. 37/HD 737) on tape delay at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

Next week's home game with the University of Montana also has a change to the broadcast schedule. The game, normally heard on Freedom 970 AM, will move to the stronger KXL 750 AM signal. It is also available on line at http://www.kxl.com. The pregame show begins at 4 p.m. with kickoff at 5:05 p.m. from Hillsboro Stadium.

The move to KXL is due to the availability of the signal as Oregon has a bye week. KXL and Freedom 970 are both part of the Alpha Broadcasting Group.

The Oct. 16 Montana game will be shown live on Comcast Sports Net beginning at 5 p.m. CSN will be picking up the feed from KPAX TV in Missoula.

I'm pissed about the game getting bumped for the UO, but then again, they are a top 5 team.

Pretty neat that we get a game on KXL. When was the last time that a PSU game was on KXL?
