Portland State @ Northern Colorado Game Thread

Hubel started. Collins came in after 4 or 5 INTs. The team has recovered and is currently running out the last few minutes.
 
I think he will have to fight it out with Howland, Hagan, and now Collins if he wants the job. No guarantees at this point.
 
Without the six turnovers, this game would have been pretty one sided. The defense played well for the most part. Good to end the season on a high note.

I can't help but think that Hubel's 'true frosh' showed today. Three guys rushing and eight dropping back into coverage, you can't try to force balls into an eight deep coverage. Call an audible or get out of the pocket and pick up some positive yards to keep them honest.
 
I think a year of maturity (on the field and in the weight room) will go a long way for Heubel. The coaches will address all his issues, everything from foot speed/agility to reading coverages.
