As much as I would love to pick PSU over OSU, I just can't see it happening. I do however feel the Viks are going to hold their own, but come out on the short end by a score of 28-20.
 
True Frosh Bowen if he gets a seam will score his first College TD. Watched and followed this kid the last couple of years and he is a GAMER, add his talent and Portland landed a BIG TIME player. I was at the combine when he ran his 4.4 40, Fresno State missed it along with many others. You are in for some electric moments.What will Bowens number be as a Viking.

I'm going to go with 48-24 OSU. I'm not sure they're that much better across the board, but PSU simply doesn't have the depth at wideout or anywhere on defense to keep up with a talented OSU team. If OSU had a legitimate quarterback I might be inclined to go with an even wider spread.
 
I'd love to come out and say we're going to win, but I should probably be realistic.

I don't think we've ever held a Pac 10 team to less than 41 points, so I'm going to go with 43 - 13.

If we hold them under 40, I'll drive home with a smile.

If the stars align and somehow we win, the car flags will stay up non-stop until Thanksgiving. :-)
 
Vikings Shock OSU 28- 24

I know it's a stretch to think that the beavers can score 24 in this game, but I don't want to take away all hope for them. Go Vikings! Ruin the beavers season right out of the gate. they are surely looking past us, and it's our Bowl game.

Final score 45-10 Beavs just because Riley is too classy to run up the score and he wants to give the 2 and 3 deeps some playing time. By the way, we do have a legitimate QB who has been on fire in camp and will show off some precision passing Saturday for you guys. I like PSU sports since I live here in Portland, but u guys have NO chance this week. You could barely score against WSU for god's sake. Take the nice payday and TV time and good luck in your conference this year.
 
Hey, Stungalum, welcome to our board! Hope you hang around for our season, we could use a Sac State insider. As for your guess at the score, it seems to be the standard guess around and about. But you know, it's the first game of the season and just about anything might happen. Both sides will make errors, and neither knows a lot about the other. Depends on how PSU handles the run; I'm not worried about the passing. Still.....Oregon got creamed by Boise St. tonight, but we're not Boise State. Hard to say what our score will be.
