Looks like we have 2 games in common in ISU and Davis.
We could only score 2 TD's against Davis but allowed 0 TDs.
ISU you blew them away, we couldn't score but our D allowed only 2 FG's and 0 TDs.

ISU game summed up our season. Tons of stupid turnovers so we can't get scoring; D has been good but not close to great. D line has struggled all year except against ISU where we had 7 sacks.

We have struggled against the run so we may have big issues stopping PSU ESPECIALLY if we hand over the ball 4 times.

Weber could easily be 0-4 right now or even 4-0. Its been a weird season. Turnovers killed us against EWU. We could have beat them for sure. We had 2 to's in the endzone when we were about to score. EWU scored 21 pts on TO's. Maybe the Sac game is a loss no matter what though.

Based on what I have seen with Weber and what I can expect...our remaining schedule every game seems winnable even Texas Tech and looking back BC wasn't very good. At the same time we could lose every remaining game.

If I were to bet right now I'd say we finish 4-7 but we have to stop to's to even get 4 wins.
 
I dont know if we can stop your run game. I will go with a prediction of 0-2 to's Weber wins. 3+ then PSU wins. Our -12 to's isn't lookin good.
 
Weber State hopes to holster ‘Pistol’

Weber State nearly shot itself in the foot against Idaho State. Should the Wildcats suffer the same types of turnovers and mental miscues Saturday afternoon, visiting Portland State will bring its own “pistol,” cocked and loaded.

Odds are WSU, which still nurses visions of post-season football, will not improve its standing in the Big Sky Conference against a team poised to take advantage of another multi-turnover game. The Wildcats gave the ball away five times and still beat Idaho State, 16-13, thanks to a strong defensive effort and ISU’s inability to kick field goals. The Bengals missed three in the final period.

An improving Portland State (2-4, 1-2 BSC) enters Saturday’s 3:05 p.m. kickoff against WSU (3-3, 2-2) still licking their wounds in a last-second 23-21 loss to Montana. Yet, in defeat, first-year head coach Nigel Burton’s pistol offense proved its worth. The Vikings, behind quarterback Connor Kavanaugh and back Cory McCaffrey, temporarily took the lead with an 11-play, 97-yard drives of all run plays.

“They understand exactly what they’re trying to get done,” said Weber State coach Ron McBride, adding that PSU deserved a better fate against the Grizzlies. “They seem to get better every week ... more efficient with what they’re doing.”

Kavanaugh and McCaffrey each gained more than 100 yards rushing in this ball control marriage of the “I” formation and the spread offense. The pistol was created by Nevada coach Chris Ault, and brought to PSU by Burton. First-year offensive coaches Dave Brown, also from Nevada, and Mark Kaanapu are also well versed in the pistol.

Burton has also seen improvement in an offense that rolled up 435 yards against Cal Davis, 531 yards against Idaho State, and 456 yards at Montana State.

“We’ve seen [improvement] in our play,” Burton said. “We just need that last play to work in our favor.”

In the pistol, the quarterback is not nearly as deep as the shotgun formation with a lone back directly behind. This is the difference between the spread and pistol. This formation allows the quarterback either the option of handing of handing off or keeping the ball in either direction.

Should Weber State not take care of the football, giving PSU extra chances, it could become a long afternoon.

“We need to match their toughness,” McBride said.
