The Portland Tribune ran a story this week about Portland State's struggles with finding a place to play. The MLS team more or less has denied them the use of Providence Park, and they're forced to play in the 'burbs...

PSU coach Bruce Barnum says recruiting is the biggest challenge for him in terms of the stadium issue.

"My opponents are going to bury me," Barnum says. "They'll tell recruits, 'They don't even have a home field.' That's the negative that happens. I love the Hillsboro group. They are very accommodating. But the recruiting part of it is a mess."

Not a good situation to be in, for sure. I worry long-term about how ISU will maintain Holt Arena. It’s coming up on 50 years old and needs a lot of work.
