Portland Tournament

Sure would be nice to see PSU try to put a tournament together in Portland like this:

Portland State needs to be included in this tournament. Vikings and Pilots are comparable programs. Is this a deliberate social snub, revealing a lot between the relationship of Nike with PSU? Maybe PSU should go Adidas.

Agreed, Broadway! I couldn't believe Portland was on there without PSU. I assume it has to do with sponsorship. Portland's women's soccer must be Nike.

More likely a need to tie in at least one local program to fill seats since both venues are being used. Because the tourney was instigated by someone from outside the region, their perception of the Big Sky is probably not perceived as high in stature as the WCC, which has Gonzaga & St. Mary's as nationally respected programs. But who knows ? Maybe endorsement affiliation is the reason.

Perhaps they selected UP instead of PSU because they didn't want a team in there that could beat Gonzaga.
