Good Win Against NAU @Home

The team started the game strong, got a 17 point lead, then gave up the lead, but finished strong pulling out a close win. I hate to be negative, but I really don’t think it was coaching. Threatt had a great game, 32 points, so was interviewed after the game and from the sound of it, it was the players deciding that 3 losses in a row was just too much to take so they came out guns blazing and amazingly, didn’t clown show the end of the game. If these athletes had someone who could motivate them consistently, we’d have a really competitive team. Of course the clown show endings are something else.

The lead was 20 and then 10 with under 7 left in the game. It was a win but a good win I won’t say. Win by 15 and that’s a great win. Winning barely to a team one spot ahead of us in the standings is not a good one.

Huh, guess I wasn’t as negative as I thought.😂 Plenty of room for more! Idk, it just felt good to see this team start out with 20, versus down by 20 and a nice clutch shot to ice it. Threatt looked fantastic, so I’ll take it.

It’s good to see a win. The fact they answered with big shots in the final minute is nice. In no wise does it salvage the year, but take what you can get. They played with a lot more energy on defense and Threatt was on top of his game. They definitely lack confidence…maybe winning a close game can help that.

I alluded to the chance that we might just be seeing some player leadership arise and if so, then we’ll see some good games and maybe a few wins. It’s clear coaching leadership is at a dead end… so their only hope.

I agree, any positives we see from now on is players fighting through incompetent coaching and leading each other
