Possible Bad news coming!!!

Did someone go down in the game? I thought we got through it relatively unscathed. The 2 deep on the Cal game notes is unchanged from last week. :|

Totty injured his arm (wrist?) towards the end of the game and I thought I saw DeAndre Carter get dinged up on one play, and he never returned.

Well....it looks like this is a day to day thing...and player is going to try and go for this one...so red alert is off.

If his injury lingers we will all be able to tell soon enough...here's hoping he's as tough as he plays. :thumb:

The toughest guy on that team is Safron, and if he's even slightly dinged up he better sit. Same goes to any of the main guys like Carter, Sankey etc. The last thing you want is guys getting beat up against Cal for no reason.

Agreed, whoever it is should sit out Cal even if it’s Safron. If it’s not Safron, may as well rest him until after the Menlo game. God I hope it’s not Safron…

I agree. As much as I hate the idea of not giving Cal everything we've got, if Safron is even slightly dinged, hold him out until September 20th against Weber...

I completely disagree with this theory... You want to be able to put your best foot forward... I agree if a player is hurt they should not play however if they are only slightly dinged up and they can give it a go they should attempt to be on the field..On paper I do agree that Cal is a better team however they are a young team and they could make mistakes to keep us in the game and I would want our best players on the field... Another big win against power conference team can really boost this program... you just never know what could happen on any Saturday

We’ve already got wins over Pac12 programs to brag about; personally I would like to add a playoff appearance, BSC Championship, and an FCS Championship to the list of Hornet D1 accomplishments. Playing dinged up players in a “grab the money and run” type of game does not help our chances of accomplishing those other goals. We’ll see what the coaches decide to do this weekend.

If the "dings" are not serious they need to play. The training staff is in the best position to make the call of who's ready to play. Football is a collision sport, everybody on every team is "dinged up" to one degree or another.
This is a big opportunity. A win or a good effort at Cal, being the closest FBS team to our area would do wonders for the for perception of the program.

Major injury or is this just a precautionary move? I have no issue with him sitting out tomorrow.
