Totally my opinions (please add yours):

Coach of the Year -- Robinson

Player of the Year -- Tyler Harvey EWU

Defensive Player of the Year -- Richaud Gittens WSU or Mario Dunn UM

Freshman of the Year -- Bliznuk however you spell his name from Eastern

Newcomer of the Year -- I'd say Golden has a slight chance, but I'm thinking Breunig at Montana.

Sixth man or Reserve of the Year -- Ako Kaluna NAU

If there is a year for Weber to not win any awards this is it! If Golden wins newcomer of the year it speaks to how bad this conference really is ......

DeCuire will be coach of the year. Robinson did a good job, but as a first year head coach DeCuire took a team that was picked 5th and 8th and won the conference.

What's the award for taking a team picked to win the conference and getting the last tourney spot?

After all the complaints this year on this board about Golden, even to the point of considering counseling him out of the program, and you think he has a chance against an all BSC player.......not even a sliver of a chance.....

I agree. Golden isn't going to get it, and we will see if he is even in Ogden next year. I think the Big from Montana will get Newcomer. What do you think? Instead of being negative, please add something constructive to the conversation.

That's easy. Sacstateman is going with Ian Fox for every award and Ians dad John RUHS Fox for coach of the year.

It would be hard to argue against Ian Fox for all everything. Just think of it this way, In league play, he did not have a single turnover, he did not miss a shot, and he did not allow a single point to be scored against him. I would say that those are MVP numbers. :thumb: :thumb:

I agree with Breunig......as for Ian, I think olds is wrong again....after 3 games he had missed EVERY shot (0 for 14) and had 2 turnovers.....but I still think he's got potential LOL.....

You were the one who mentioned Golden for the position.

McKinney was just named MVP of the BSC......those games Harvey missed were probably the difference....since I know Mikh, I can guarantee that he will not ever do anything to tarnish the conference or our school.....couldn't be prouder of a very fine young man....

McKinney wins MVP, Breunig wins newcomer, Bliznynuk wins freshman, Colbert of MSU wins top reserve, and Martin of NAU wins defensive player. Bolomboy 2nd team, Senglin HM.
