Post Spring Ball Transfers

WR's Taylor Schablaske (Ponderosa) and Mike Elliott (Roseville) have transferred out of the program. I have not heard where they transferred to, but both players red shirted last season.

Niether are on the spring roster any longer. After watching Taylor in spring practice, I thought he had a shot at being a good reciever. He had good hands, and what seemed like good routes. Maybe the depth chart was too much.

After watching the Freshman from Grant who came in I would guess they figured they were not going to get much time. I like the way that new kid runs routes and goes after the ball once it's in the air.

Ronald Richardson
Spencer Ams
Chase Deadder
John Blea
Dylan Lane
Brett Willis

Plus four TE's.

We have enough receivers. I am impressed with Richardson, Lane was awesome last year and Deadder is improving quickly.

Who transferred?

This is typical Sperbeck  . He doesn't know what his needs are and he is over his head as far HC is concerned. Spring practices clearly showed glaring weaknesses and was a disaster. Come fall it will become evident and we are destined to become a loser.

No I'm not one of the fathers. I'm a just a fan that is tired of losing and have witnessed Sperbeck antics upclose. I'll just say he's very old school which is surprising for his age (young). If the team stumbles out of the gate you will see what I'm talking about. Go Hornets

Whatever...over the past year we have had someone like yourself trash Sperbeck on their very first post a couple of times. I'm inclined to believe it's the same person logging in under a new name everytime.

If you followed Hornet football over the past 15 years or knew anything about the turnaround in the atmosphere and culture at Sac State under Sperbeck you wouldn't be running your mouth. So save it.

I'm not going to get into an argument over this but I'll just tell you I've been following and contributing to the team for over a decade and I'll just let the upcoming record speak for itself. As far as posting, I just happened into the site last year and now decided to join in. It just happened on a bad note. Hopefully I will eat my words.

I would not call the spring game a disaster, it was clear there are some positions that need help but clearly not a disater. Last time I checked that is why they play a spring game, you do know that it does not count against their record right??? I am wondering if we were at the same game, do you feel that the WR position was a problem? I felt we looked good at WR, RB at both QB's, the LB, corners and DE spots had lots of work to be done. I guess that is why opinions are like Kadeezy's, everyone has one.

If typicall is improving year after year, almost beating a MWC FBS team last year, raising the football APR, and getting the second best recruiting class in the BSC this year, then yes it is typical Sperbeck. :?

Negativity and Sperbeck hating will only make people think you are a Moosh or Sierra JC coach supporter.

Be careful there, SA. THIS Big Cat disciple is perfectly willing to give Sperbeck a legitimate shot, especially given the improvement in just last year. I foresee big things this year, and an undie season is not the least of those....

According to Rivals.com we had the second best recruiting class in FCS Stung! :)

Anyways, somebody must have allowed Bobby Mooshagian access to the interweb again and he came straight here to bash Sperbeck.

Marshall has an extremely high approval rating from posters on this board up to this point, but you can't please everyone I suppose!

Agreed...everyone is entitled to their opinion...however, it must be within reason. Look, kids every year get cut, especially after their redshirt season. The program has grown leaps in bounds both in the on-field product and in the classroom.

As for Volek, SH, you have to let it go. That was 7 years ago now. John did a lot to move the program forward.....as great as it is to live the past, we must live in the present and the future. Sperbeck will have the program higher than when Volek had it....to me, that's what I look for every year (be better than the year before).
