• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

POSTPONED BUT STILL HAVE A PREVIEW

Just saw the EWU game is postponed...BUMMER

We still wanted to share with you the full preview and breakdown of EWU and their matchup with you guys and NAU that would have taken place this weekend.

You can get the full write-up at our website www.bigskybreakdown.com but here is the film breakdown we did on this weekend's matchups.

We don't play NAU this weekend. We are at Idaho.

I also don't know why we would want to know about a preview of EWU and NAU that has also been postponed. Do you have a preview of our game with Idaho? :coffee:

Our apologies. We were focusing on EWU this week in our breakdown. It should have been more clear to the reader. We posted it here because we knew that you would have played EWU on Thursday if it were not for COVID. We did do a preview of your matchup vs Idaho as that was not our focus for the week. Other boards like and enjoy information regarding teams across the conference. We will note this for future posts on this message board.

Regards
BSB

My apologies to you. I did not mean to be so harsh. We do appreciate any coverage of Portland State athletics as the coverage is lacking across the board. While the group here is not as numerous as the Montana or Montana State boards, we are still a lively group with some excellent discussions about PSU. As your name implies, Portland State is part of the Big Sky conference and we just want to be included in any and all stories that you deem fit for us.

If you want to give us a one sentence breakdown of our upcoming Idaho game, that is par for the course around here. If not, I guess that is fine, too. We'll take what we can get.

Here would be our quick preview of PSU v IDAHO.

Both teams are in need of some good momentum as the second week of conference play is about to start. Wins are needed for both clubs. Idaho picked to finish high in the conference has started off incredibly slow playing a very tough schedule and the departure of Gina Marxen right before the season started has not helped. PSU is young and has a new coach but appears to be running much of the same system she learned under Kennedy.

PSU will need to account for Forsyth, Johnson, and Gandy (3 point threats) in the zone and of course, Bea will or could be a huge factor in that potential matchup (This game has been canceled as well). PSU will try and control the tempo with their zone def and on the offensive end with their countless continuity offensive schemes. Lewis and Morales will be factors on the offensive end for the Vikings as well as Fitzgerald and Dhaliwal.

We would give a slight edge to the Vandals in this game, but would not be surprised to see the Vikings play them close.

Sounds good. Too bad it won't be played. Best to file it away when it will be played.

Thanks for the writeup. Much appreciated. :thumb:

Thanks for the link. FWIW...hope your guys beat the snot out of Georgia. Hate that the SEC seems to take all the fun out of the FBS. I would love to see a Michigan/Cincy final and bring the SEC down a peg. :thumb:
