Lindy's is kind of a joke. I have a hard time taking any list that has 4 OVC teams in the top 25 very seriously.

Agreed. Jacksonville St won't be as good this year, they lost a ton of talent and a coaching change. Montana??? Guess the early game against the new NDSU will tell the tale.

That's a "maybe" for me. I personally see NDSU as more of a 8-4/7-5 type team this season. I actually think UNI will be the beat team in the MVFC this year. I also think Montana has a great shot at knocking off NDSU. I really feel like NDSU's only advantage is they're playing at home and that's a tough place for any team to play in.

No argument here. Think you are on the mark for NDSU.

Another preseason poll from an FCS forum site I enjoy. This is a fan poll, but seems pretty solid throughout the years. I think overall, the voters try to get it right.

I don't personally see NDSU as the favorite this season. It seems there is a philosophy by many that whoever won the NC should be #1 until knocked off the perch. So be it. Not trying to be a homer, but I think on paper, EWU definitely looks like the top team. I wonder if the media will see things differently when they do their poll.

In any case, I do think NDSU and SELA should be top three, so I think they got it right in that sense. And maybe I'm drinking too much of the MVFC koolaid, but I'd put UNI 4th, and keep UM 5th.

It follows then that team who took 2nd should be ranked #2...until knocked off the #2 perch. 3rd, 4th, 5th ect., ect.

Same way in every league/conference ranking...

NDSU lost a lot of seniors and the entire coaching staff, but they have a lot of depth left.

In the any given saturday poll I did put them at #1 and EWU #2. Sorry!

Pre season polls are a bit silly anyway, but the top 10 teams this year should be all making noise, including montana. UNI/SDSU are also both going to be hot teams looking to topple the Bison.

No easy answers, but i'm so ready for 15 days from now :)
