Predict the Score vs. the Rebels!

I know there is another string about the Hornets chances, but I want to see some specific predictions.

In an earlier post I felt the UNLV offense had to many weapons for us to keep pace. I still feel that way, but as game time approaches I'm getting more excited about a potential upset - It's UNLV, not USC.

Hornets 27
UNLV 24

I must be a fan - a pick based on all emotion and no facts!

Go Hornets!

from another earlier post i made:

Recent article from the Las Vegas Sun on their stud linebacker Paulo:

"That enthusiasm will be needed on a defense that badly needs to show more bite than it did a year ago in terms of its activity in the opponent's backfield. The Rebels ranked 116th out of 119 FBS squads in 2008 in tackles for loss and 115th in sacks."

Still sticking to my original prediction: Sac 24 ULV 17

even though our backs are dinged up, i think we'll see both good ground AND air yardages.

-GO HORNETS!

Every UNLV poster on their board predicts a big blowout, 52-17, 48-13, etc.

Until we prove we can play and beat a team a level up (UOP and Fullerton don't count), I am hesitant to post a predicted score. I have NEVER gotten a prediction correct, so why start now?

"Sac" up and post a score - you're due!

UNLV 31
SAC 13

Kiper is a bloody tool. His predictions are absolutely MEANINGLESS.

People who see "FBS" and think "unbeatable" obviously haven't seen the stats. Of COURSE their fans predict a blowout. That's what Oregon fans were claiming before they got beat by Boise two years in a row. In fact, that's what Michigan fans were claiming when they got trashed by Appy.

Hornets 45, UNLV 3.

This prediction is absolutely MEANINGLESS in terms of reality. It speaks volume about the predictor. Who's the bloody tool?

Hornets will put up a heckuva fight and I'm hoping and praying for an upset, but likely we will got down. I'm not sure the offensive is ready, but the defensive will play hard. We will beat the -22 spread but go down 27-13. They key will be if the offense can have some sustained drives to give the defense a chance to recover between series. That and the play of our very young linebackers will be the key to the game. I drove down here yesterday and am looking forward to the game tonight. GO HORNETS!
