I was gratified for stretches of the MSU game that the Eagles still know how to play football. Herculean task this week containing Richardson at UF.

Actually spoke with some UF fans today and they aren't sold on just how good UF is... Funny stuff. Sounds like fans; especially Gator fans. Bama fans have got nothing on the crazies in Gainesville. :roll:

Massey has this 21 -42. Oddly enough Massey had it a one point game last week. Pretty close.

Bad news for the Eagles is that Florida has two losses to UK and Tennessee and a close win against USF and it's an SEC thing to crush lesser opponents and crow about how awesome they looked. The good news, they started to look like a team and this side trip could be fun.

Not expecting miracles because FCS schools only win games like this when the defense plays exceedingly well. Can't expect that although I do see the DL continuing to play well.

I'd love to see Eastern compete in this game, but seeing what happened in Eugene makes me think we'll be there for the paycheck. It's hard to imagine Florida can't run the ball up and down the East Coast on us.

I think the coaching staff is gonna need to be prepared to make some tough decisions after this game. The defense is in tatters and can't stop anyone from running the ball.
Talkington has been OK, but how committed are you to a lame-duck QB if it becomes a throw-away year?

I suspect we'll stay status quo until after Sac State, but at that point, if we haven't won again, it might be time to tear up the script and try some new things.
 
im in the middle of utah now and been off grid sorta. havent heard much about this game.. think i may beable to listen.. sure hope so cause i believe we can score some pts if we dont play scared and throw the ball. down the field. they will eat us up if we have same play calling or a qb who cant/isnt allowed to throw it long if wr’s get open. maybe get a turnover or two without turning it over. maybe we surprise them.. fingers crossed!! GO EAGS!!!!

In the MSU game we saw that we can't throw more then 20 yds downfield. One thing FOR SURE we will run between the tackles on 1st down.
