PREDICTION THREAD SAC ST 31 @ EWU 52

I think "buzzsaw" should be an accurate assessment of this game, they are out to make a statement after the HUGE win last week. All that to say, Sac St has played pretty well and we've dropped some eggs this year. We should be a 2 TD favorite.

I would be kind of bummed if we let them score 28+
35-20 would be a pretty good score for our guys.

I still have no idea what to predict for this EWU team. I am very happy to see that NDSU and TTU are both undefeated. Makes me feel better about those losses. Then the two wins against FCS opponents is nice, but its hard to measure where either of those teams fall in the FCS. They certainly are not Top 25, no disrespect to the Griz (I mean, we are no longer rivals so why bother disrespecting...FTGFTGFTGFTGFTG), but they were good games. I think we pick apart Sac State, but it's a morale loss if they keep it close with us, regardless of how well they fared against SUU.

Edit:
EWU 42
Sac State 22

The keys to the game for me are very simple: we need to tackle, and we can't have miscommunications on our coverage. If you look at the problems we had in the first half last week, both came from these two issues. We cleaned it up in the second half and were instantly a much better team. I'm really hoping this is the game we can have a complete defensive performance. We'll need it; Sac State is starting to move the football very efficiently.

The fact we won at Montana- and that's always a big win- sort of masks the fact we played really bad for the first 40 minutes of that game. If we can play like we did late in that game, we're going to be awfully tough to beat.

Exactly right, Dopa. This game's not too complicated.

I think it will be a much closer game than that. I'll say Eags 41, Hornets 38.

Eags opened as 21 point favorite...it won’t be that close

I'd also like to see some establishment of our run game...but not at the detriment of not scoring.

Sac State's offense seems pedestrian so far this year according to stat sheets

In fairness, Sac State has gotten rolling lately. They opened like us; really poorly. They seem to be improving.

Good team but I'll give the advantage to the home team.

Eagles 45
Hornets 35

Saw a Jim Allen article about Wulff on Sears staff. I would be inclined to say this is why the improvement in Sac St. Wulff's backstory is one of tragedy and perseverance.

Interested to see if the second half at Montana was a fluke or real today. If it's real (not talking about talent, there's plenty of talent), this one won't be close. Understand the "pacing" of the games to date have given us a more even TOP, but lather GG up and run up and down the field a few times before changing up the tempo might end this one early. Hope the WR's continue to improve and stay hyper competitive like last week. That was fun.

Real EWU 54 Sac St 27... otherwise go with my early prediction.

We know Sears and Wolff studied the Montana film and saw what was our bread and butter in the second half. Look for their corners trying to jump those routes for a quick pick 6. How would QB drawn out of that formation work? We need to run enough to keep them honest.
