ARE YOU READY TO RUMBLE!!!

Lots of fun early season pseudo analysis going on. Since I can't be there to "eyeball" the situation, found Spokesman articles as helpful as anything, particularly the one on the second scrimmage. Few starters played and the DEFENSE showed up and played with a great deal of enthusiasm, that is our 2-3 deep players. With nothing else except a firm belief that the coaching additions in the off season, a talented and experience DL and LB corps and reasonable depth on defense is a GOOD thing. All Galaxy receiving crew is a GREAT thing and it looks like there are 3 QB's to sling the rock around that should give Eastern a chance in all contests. We will learn alot about this team Week 1 and I predict it will be a positive effort that promotes that uptick in performance teams can see from Wk1 to Wk2 and lays the groundwork to beating NDSU in Fargo. :-)

Cougs 52 EWU 35. If the Eags were to somehow pull off the upset I would say EWU 49 Cougs 45. I think someone else had that too. It would take a "coug" or two from the Cougs for that to happen though. WSU fans know what that means.

go eags!

EWU Depth Chart. Also, I think this is the first time I have ever picked against the Eag's. WSU is loaded, but expect a few snag's for both teams in this first contest of the season. Looking for big improvement Wk1 to Wk2 this season.

This game will play out a little differently than the Oregon game, but I kind of see a similar score and result. WSU will be a very good Pac-12 team this year.

WSU-61
EWU-42

It would be so great to beat these guys, but I doubt it. WSU 59- Eags 28. On the bright side I thought we were going to get crushed the past couple years against OU and UW, but we played them tough. Hope some magic can happen.

I guess many of us are more exposed to the hype of the "local" PAC 12 team and therefore forgetting that EWU hasn't been blown out by a PAC 12 team since 2009 @ Cal. I'm not saying we WILL beat WSU, but I think it will be a typical close game.

Head says - 45-38 WSU
Heart says - 38-35 EWU

Man, am I envious. 67 and sunny this Saturday in Pullman sounds PERFECT. Just dipped below 90 for the first time this summer in the ATL. Looking forward the game and watching how this team matured from last season's challenges. Not a Leach fan, but the product on the field is starting to look like the better Mike Price teams of the nineties, still not the Palouse posse though.

56 Coogs
42 Eags

Hate picking against the Eags, especially against the Coogs but until the defense proves me wrong, we're going to give up a lot of points.

We're on the same page here. Who knows, anything can happen. Right?

Should be a great game to watch and we will learn a lot about this team.

However, there are growing pains to be had on this offensive line and the defense.

56-38 WSU

No W/L predictions for me this year...

Anything could happen, but honestly, I'll be happy if we can come out of this game with no major injuries and some marked improvement shown in our defense and rushing offense. I don't expect us to win, but showing some improvement in those two key areas will make me optimistic for the rest of the season.

I'm not concerned whatsoever about the QB position or ability to get the ball to our recievers.

Premising this by say I believe we'll have a team that can make the playoffs. While WSU finished the last 5 games in the PAC12 4-1 while we went 2-3 (losing the last three) in the BSC...I'm not expecting a whole lot other than an entertaining game hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

*UNI scares me as some are saying UNI will beat Iowa State this Sat. (including Rick Neuheisel). While the following week we play NDSU...UNI plays Montana (at UNI) so both EWU/UNI have two tough games before battling at Roos which will be a nice advantage for us and a win.
