Prediction Thread Week 4: EWU @ NAU BigSky Begins

This could be another video game score but I think our defensive line can get some pressure on the qb. that is one area of the defense that I have been pretty impressed with so far.

The Eag's are bigger and badder this year. All the competition to get on the field is showing and we have some serious leaders exerting their will to get it done.

Seriously, don't know what the score will be, but the Eagles find a way to win. Aragorn is 2-0, so sticking with him.

EWU 55 - NAU 38 (in garbage time)

I have watched the NIU game several times after going to coaches show and I don' t think it will be that close.
EWU wins by two plus touchdowns. This defense is for real and Montana is going to be very surprised when they step on the red turf.

I can't seem to get a feeling about a score in this game yet....but I do feel like the Eags will roll on O and D. I'm thinking they win by 10. :thumb:

Defense is for real WiseEagle ;-). Barring more injuries the Eags wear down BigSky teams this season. Next step is more takeaways and would love to see that happen this week with a couple of picks. I consider a stop almost a takeaway when our offense is hitting on all cylinders.

Defibrillator just arrived via FedEx. A great investment since this game will be another thrill ride pulling out a 38-34 win. Believe it..we will have many such games ALL season long...clear!!!

This is how I am feeling about this game. Just re watched the kick return and Shaq got three blocks for Custer. With "team" like that... mmm mmm good.

Sorry guys, but NAU is really good at home. Plus their stadium is at like 7,000ft. I see an epic shootout with not a whole lot of defense from either side, but I think NAU will make key stops in the 4th Qtr and a tie game gets broken. going 56-49 Jacks

Totally possible, BUT...EAGS win 51-48

Last team holding the ball wins and it turns into a track meet on the fuzzy carpet. Neither defense proves to be all that effective and special teams will play a role with a punt return for a score or big missed field goal (NAU's kicker's a freshman) in the equation. Nobody will get a kick off return in as both sides will be booting the ball through the endzone. Crazy things have gone on in the series the last few years. I have no doubt more of the same will occur on Saturday.

I hope Eagles fans already have their tickets as the game sold out. Kicking myself for not setting my schedule up last summer to allow the drive up from the desert for this game.

Best of luck, EWU fans.

Cookus and Butler get theirs, but Gubrud (predictions right?), Kupp (predictions right?), KB, Shaq, Splendorio and Stuuuuuuuu get more. Zach Wimberley has 5 clutch catches. D comes up big in spots and the running game begins to emerge. Eags 45 Jacks 35.

Ya, Baldwin has sooo many weapons now, can you imagine when they get some balance to the offense? Whew!! And I believe the defense has started to find itself. Granted we have had some injuries to crutial players on the D but others have stepped up.
Jacks in the 30's
Eagles 50's Ok they will have home field advantage, it is family weekend there and a sod out game so I'll knock the Eagles back to 45 and give the Jacks benefit of HFA 38
