So how does the game play out?

Eastern Washington will score, and score quickly. The Eagles will try to contain West, but because they’re 104th in total defense, don’t expect it. Adams will get his numbers, as will West, so it comes down to everyone else and the turnovers. Towson will make fewer mistakes and advance to the national championship for the first time.

Just back at last years Semi Final threads and it was hit or miss.
I think everyone is seeing Towson as the new girl at the school :oops: and not looking at the whole package :mrgreen:
When it is all said and done we will be moving forward.

Eastern Washington's offense is scary good, but Towson's is playing just as well. There's no doubt this game will come down to defense and which team can come up with clutch turnovers or key stops in crunch time. Eastern Washington's inability to slow Jacksonville State down in the first half last weekend will likely have West itching to get out on the Inferno and start running.

Who knows what would've happened had Jenkins not suffered a knee injury last weekend, but the Eagles can't bank on injuries to get through to Frisco.

Just watched the EIU vs Towson game again. While West did rack up a LOT of yards it was made possible by a lot of mistakes by EIU and I think the weather ended up in Towsons favor. By the 4th qtr many of EIU's players had folded their tent and were ready for a hot shower. I didn't see anything outstanding about Twosons game other than their game plan and coaching adjustments, the most impressive elements of their game. Good in a lot of areas but outstanding NO.
These guys are very beatable. We can slow West to less than 100yds and our offense will rock and roll baby!!

:+1: Anything close to 200 total rushing for Towson and no turnover's... outcome EWU walks in this one. CAA goes down. :D

Good luck Eagles! Get er done on Saturday! Believe you can make it happen, but with a no mistake game. (like against us(MSU)). If VA plays as good as he is capable, better than he dances(lol), and you keep
West and the backup contained you will get er done.

I am out of control excited for this game, I have the feeling work is going to move at a glacial pace tonight. I get home at noon. So I should be caught up with the real time on the DVR by the half. I expect a tough matchup and we don't win with turnovers. Big Play VA will play free of big mistakes and I believe Eags walk away 38-28 Though it will feel closer. Can't wait!

Going to go do some work on a house a friend of mine bought this morning to stay occupied before the game. Will stick with my original prediction of a relatively low scoring game, but can see this blowing up to a 50+ point EWU day if all cylinders are firing on O and D. Don't think EWU is looking past Towson today.

Doesn't look like weather will be a factor at game time today. But any update from those on the ground is appreciated.

Last chance, get your prediction/thoughts in before game. No "I called that" unless it was posted beforehand ;-)

Gritty, in the trenches war. Look for Pulu, Zylstra, Larry, Sommer and Day to stack it up and let LB's make plays all over the field. Hamlin & Havili have HUGE games. Lee, Brown bring pressure off edge to slow down Towson running game, put pressure on Athens and create turnover's. Look for unexpected hero on D to turn tight game EWU's way-- Weatheroy??

Forgotten man Mario ignites offense with big plays catching ball out of the backfield and Shaq Hill and special teams regain '12 form giving EWU good field position throughout game. Too many weapons for Towson to stop.

The Eagles need to come out loose and play smart. Meaning no mistakes on coverage or turnovers (duh, what team doesn't say that).
If we have a surprise hero on defense I would look to 2 seniors Bo Schutzle and McKenzie Murphy to show their senior leadership. Ronnie Hamlin will be Ronnie Hamlin but if there is a wildcard in this came it is how well can the Tigers carry out a passing game.
Would not be surprised if the game is close at half and would not be shocked if we were tied or behind. Thats OK, don't panic. Towson has been dominate in the 3rd qtr but not as dominate as the Eagles so I would look to the Eagles to take control in the 3rd and or 4th qtr.
I have total confidence in our coaching staff that they will keep our players in position to win.
I like the number of 42 for the Eagles. The Tigers do not appear to be as explosive as the Eagles and will only be able to average 1 TD per qtr = 28 points
