I just can't get past the spinning pyramid!!! I am in a trance!
As much as I would love to drop 62 on them they just have played us too close last year and see it more as a 14 point W than a 30+ . . .Plus I don't know if Baldwin has the heart to drop that much on a conference team . . .
Although if we do put up 62 I wonder how much influence that would be on the committee. :thumb:

I wondered what a big MOV in the last game would do for us too. SELA plays Thursday night and should have a sizeable margin of victory over Nicholls St. Not sure if we put it to PSU if we can slide into the 3rd seed, but here's hoping. Plus I think the D gets EWU two exceptional field position TO's and one possible special teams play. Haven't had a big return in awhile. :-) (this is the prognostication thread after all)

PSU is a dangerous team. 2 yeas ago they smoked us in the 2nd half for a pretty convincing win on our red turf. Last year, we had to come from behind to beat them 40-34 on their field. They seem to get up pretty well for EWU. This will be their playoff/bowl game of the year, so they will be stoked and ready, they WILL want to knock off the #3 team in the FCS for bragging rights and creditability. Eastern will just need to do what we do and not play down. This (PSU) team is turnover heavy, undisciplined, not well coached and gives up massive penalties. Eastern could and should blow them out, but this is a rival game for them, not so much us, so be careful. They would love to ruin our undefeated streak. We just need to play with the intensity we have in the last 5 games, and the score will take care of itself.

I think we need to score like 45 or 48 points to set a new season record. Will that have an impact on Baldwin running up the score or not?
Or D is playing so good and FAST right now I don't see them getting into the 20's

I think the eagles roll through this one. Nobody in our conference, especially Portland State, has the ability to stop our offense. We also won't be playing in that stinkin mud bowl, like last year.

42-17 Eagles

I just hope that nobody gets injured by such an undisciplined team.

Eagles will be too dominant on offense and the defense will hit it's stride.

EWU 47 PSU 17

Party time in Cheney Saturday night for an undefeated BIG SKY Champ!

Yep. "Eastern is just 45 points from the school record of 488 set in 2004." So, EWU needs 46 to set the new record. I predicted 62, so this is easy peasy

Wish I could be at the game Saturday. Truly excited for the graduating Seniors and all they accomplished as a squad over their careers and for Eagle nation. One small step ... one giant leap... and all that.

Does that record count for post season play as well?

loloman,
Haven't been able to get out and see the practices, due to having the "FLU". I was so happy to see Todd in the line-up on Saturday against Cal Poly. I understood he was done for the season. I for on is happy to see him on the field. Todd is an outstanding player. I was worried after we lost #30 Darryl Bauemonte (sp), him and #21 Bo Schuetzle are like our "Patroitt Missals. On kick off once they lock on you, "IT IS OVER" :thumb: :thumb: :thumb. Remember in Saint Thomas Virgin Islands my mon used to tell me, give your A-- to me and your sole to "GOD", because I am going to bust your butt. That is when I was a little BRAT ;) ;) growing up. Hope he and the other injuries get healed for the run in the Play offs. I am struggling with should I go to the game this Saturday, or stay home and watch it on TV. I did attend one of the games, few days later I got sick and have been down ever since. Did attend and watch practice for about 5 minutes before the BB Game last night, stayed in my car. Here is hoping I feel better for this Saturday. Take care. Go Eagles!!!!! Vic Wallace

Superstitious, so no score from me - However, I predict that Vic will stay home and watch the game on Root while warm and cozy in his living room. While he will be missed terribly by those of us (me especially) who won't get to see him, he will be completely well and right as rain for what will be an AMAZING playoff run!! Stay home and get well, Vic!! We love you, and these players love you!!! Take care of yourself, and we'll see you for the playoffs!!! Much love, God Bless, and GO EAGS!!!!
