Predictions NDSU 40 @ EWU 13 Wk 2

Whew! Where to begin? In my mind, barring the three WR's, an OLman and a couple of defensive starters; this is nearly the same team as last year. Not sure what flattened the team out in Lubbock after the first quarter except piss poor execution on offense (it was 0-7 after one); if this is all it takes, then prepare for a VERY long season. None of us is strapping it on for two a days and Saturday afternoon's, but I suspect when the film was viewed this team learned what it has to do moving forward.

Tough assignment this week in a balanced, physical NDSU team. Getting them on the Inferno in perfect weather should make some difference. Expect NDSU to continue spinning their overtime loss as motivation, they don't need it. Team is used to winning and aching to get back in the championship after last season. So is Eastern.

Think our OL play gives us a chance in every game to move the ball; Grady did a nice job last week and GG needs to step it up and trust the WR's will catch the ball. If they don't, expect a more vocal GG this week, maybe even call a timeout to straighten things out.

Still flushing Saturday out of my mind. Feels like a team in transition, the homer in me, says we get right against Fordham and then take it to Montana to close out September 2-2, 1-0 in BSC

I would like to see EWU beat NDSU. However, it is a team in transition against a fine tuned machine.

Something just doesn't feel right. I think they get it figured it soon, but hopefully it's not too late for a playoff run.

Home field helps in this one, but will it be enough? I have to see it first.

I think we are in for an ass whooping, NDSU 31-13. I hope I'm wrong, but this EWU team didn't look at all ready to play or fight last week:(

I think our only hope is a fast start because I'm not sure our guys have the confidence to get down early and come back late.

Have to say, I like it. We win TO's +3 and it can happen. Starting to get warmed up to this one. Anyone, seeing practices this week? Kind of tired of the schedule debate raging on another thread, what's done is done. Would love some actual intel on football :)

Practices are being held inside the field house so not much to report

I concur with ML, I believe that had to be with the case vs TT...we hold firm their first few series...don't turn it over 1st play then drop easy passes our first few series and that TT game has a diff look. Doesn't mean we would have won just a different dynamic. Same goes this Sat., if we take advantage 1st part of this game it will be a game and we have a solid chance to win.

*Don't care what TT fans say...NDSU would have beat TT despite their Power Five brag

Not sure what to think. Talent is there. Not sure the cohesion or confidence is, yet. I'll refrain from any prediction but ultimately will be pleased by a much better showing than we had last Saturday, despite whatever the result is.
 
I'll say 24-14 NDSU. They look solid this year and as far as I know they only lost one good play from last year (King Frazier). It's gonna be a foot race between them and SDSU. I think you guys keep it competitive since it's the home opener but I think your defense will run out of steam.
 
No idea how this is gonna go.

I hope and we have the potential for EWU 34-28 NDSU, but after last week, as much as it pains me, I'll say NDSU 38-24 EWU.

I hope I'm wrong.

I am now back in commission, couple of weeks before I could go out in the smoke. I haven't been able to attend practices due to my surgery. My prediction, we will win. My surgery went very well, feels like I might have a little more energy, just have to wait and see. Got out of the Hospital two hours after my Pacemaker was replaced, have been doing well, just some bed rest is needed. My birthday will be a very Great one when we kick the Bison Asses. :) Saturday will be my 83rd BD, and all I need for me to have a Happy BD, is for a big victory. Glad to be back. Vic E. Wallace

I was going to pick the Bison but word on the street is Deluca is out for the season now too. If so, that sucks as that guy is a complete stud LB and NFL draft pick. His coverage skills will be missed. This game just got more interesting.
