Predictions NDSU 40 @ EWU 13 Wk 2

What's the smoke looking like in town?

Still pretty thick. Better than it's been the last 3 days. Last check, the AQI was at 214 at 9:15 am, which is about 50 points lower than late last night. Supposed to really start improving after noon today.

Downtown Spokane is still horrible, currently at 217 air quality, but we had a light rain this morning that has helped.

Spokane is at 175 AQI currently, which is not great. Presumably Cheney is a little better off. What are NCAA guidelines?

I don't know if this might be gamesmanship or true but could big impact on the game.

Lots of negativity in this thread. I expect that we're going to see massive improvement on both sides of the ball in week 2. And we're playing at home.

Yes I agree, lots of half empty glasses here. My biggest concern is the wind that is forecast, nothing can be done but play in it. I'm still liking our O-line and defense as a whole. Gabe has nothing to prove, and I expect to see a much more balanced pass/run game.
35-34 Eagles

Since the smoke cleared I'll do a proper prediction.

I really do think this team is special despite last week's performance. They are opening in the red in warm weather but with additional wind. They aren't as pass happy, and the defense seems to have the potential be pretty stiff, particularly if Ketner is back in the middle.

Scoring expectations have come down, but I wouldn't be shocked by a similar score to last year, 35-32 with NDSU missing a field goal to send it into overtime.

NDSU 42 EWU 28. I think all the lost outside practice time hurts. One day in Moses Lake is not enough.
