Preseason conference picks

Football's right around the corner. Here's my picks for how the conference will end up.

1. Montana - Too much talent even with off the field problems.
2. PSU- Solid group coming back, good coaching staff.
3. NAU- Offensive fire power.
4. WSU - Transfer QB from Alabama may make a difference.
5. ISU - Struggling to find a QB.
6. EWU - Still a young team, but have a nice young QB.
7. MSU - They'll struggle with a new coach that hasn't even seen his team in spring drills.
8. UNC - We're too young but will improve to get out of the cellar.
9. Sac St. - They'll struggle under a new coaching staff.

Allright I'll bite.

1. Montana - no brainer
2. Portland State - I wish I could put them lower because I'm really getting tired of their fans bashing UNC. If we only win one game this year I just hope that it is this one.
3. NAU - No better place to put them. They should score a lot.
4. MSU - still a lot of talent there and a proven coach - if he would have had spring ball they could have been higher.
5. WSU - I've seen a lot of "big time" transfer come in and never play. There was a reason they transferred out of the big time program. The exception is a Bomar or Ochs - a starter transferring vs. a backup is a BIG difference.
6. EWU - a lot of people are drinking this team's kool aid already. I'm not.
7. UNC - this might be a stretch, but I can't stand to put us any lower.
8. Sac State - 500 record in the league last year has to keep them out of the cellar doesn't it?
9. ISU - even though they looked like champs against us last year, I do not see a lot there honestly.

1.)Montana- Lots of talent, easy schedule will have them run into the playoffs with ease.
2.)Portland State- Great team, not proven under system but if the players buy into it quickly, potential BSC dark horse.
3.)Eastern Washington- This team will bounce back, 2 BSC titles a few years ago, last year was the rebuilding year, they will be back
4.)Northern Arizona- Offense is going to be incredible, its their defense that will hold them back.
5.)Montana State- This team will figure out how special Kramer was the hard way.
6.)Weber State- Transfer QB will be good but regardless they bring back a decent team.
7.)Idaho State- Barnett will wreak havoc, to bad the rest of the team will not share his success.
8.)Sacramento State- Good QB returning, this team could flourish under Sperbeck, or continue their past rep.
9.)Northern Colorado- 0 conference wins in 06, blowout losses to Portland State, Montana, Northern Arizona, Eastern Washington, UC Davis, and Idaho State. Barely competed with the bottom dwellers of the conference. It will be quite some time before this team is decent. 2 wins will be an improvement.
