8 years and counting since the Cats won the conference crown. The infamous 8 year contract was such a smart move!! Weber has an NBA caliber player and still isn't even in 3rd right now.
The conference tournament format needs to go back to how it was. Boise is garbage and makes the conference season irrelevant. Since the tournament format changed, aggregate data shows interest in Weber State basketball skirting downward. Attendance, sponsorships, student interest, and donor support are all down. For Weber it is a failing format and it is hurting our program.
Best team should host. They earned the right and that city, community and school deserves to rake in some cash due to its teams success. Why is the Sky rewarding Boise? Worst teams shouldn't be allowed to continue. Make the regular season worth watching and participating in. Games aren't really important. Only thing that matters, 4 days in March. Why keep score until March?
Eric Duft isn't the guy. Teams just need a decent big and we are sunk. Without Jones, this team is a bottom dweller. The donut offense where our bigs are invisible isn't going to cut it going forward.
Final thought, Weber State is a university. What makes a USU or BYU game fun? STUDENTS. The student band, student announcers, crazy student antics. Focus on the students.
