PSU athletics web site

In view of the injuries just announced by PSU today, I made a visit to the PSU athletics web site to try to see if PSU still had the running back named Ali, to see if he was available to step in. As I recall, he was a pretty good back and in fact, I thought he would be the featured back/starter. Anyway, I don't follow PSU closely enough to know if he's even still on the roster or if he graduated or what but I thought I read somewhere a while back that he was going to be a key contributor to PSU this year.

When I went to the web page, it says it's an " interim" site. I couldn't find the football roster, which is all I was looking for, to see if Ali was still around and on the roster. I tried clicking on some other links and got "404" error messages.

The condition of the web page was very surprising to me in that I assumed PSU would have a fully functioning web page since the fall sports are back in action and especially the football program would have a great page in view of all the national and regional publicity surrounding Glanville. I guess I'm just very surprised to see PSU's athletic web page in such poor condition, to be honest.

This is NOT intended as smack, just an observation about something that really surprises me. Does anyone know why their web page is in the condition it's in, especially at this time of year, and when/if they plan to upgrade it to what it should be? Just curious.

The site just went into the current state that it's in last week as it is under an overhaul to redo it. The interim site is pretty bad, a lot of broken links, etc. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon or just go back to what it was a week or so ago.

Regarding Ali, he left the program during fall camp. I think the writing was on the wall that the run and shoot wasn't going to include him too much, so I think he's going to take a shot at getting to the combine. On a side note, he received his degree from PSU and it didn't seem that he left on a sour note. I wish him the best of luck in the future and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone.

Thanks for the info.

I'm surprised to hear Ali would just walk away like that. I thought he was a pretty good back no matter what offensive style was being utilized by the team.

At least he got his degree, though. That's good. (For him and for the PSU APR, too).
