So.... when are the PSU wheels supposed to fall off?

Eh...still not impressed. Cal poly had to start a freshman qb who had never started. PSU is decent, not great. We will absolutely crush them, bank on it...

 We can't even crush UNC. We will have a nail biter against PSU just like every year. I can bank on that.

We are 31-3 in our last 34 conferenc games, I'm not worried...

And nail biters? Besides 2013, we haven't had many with PSU. Besides 2011 we have owned them in our last 6 games we have won by 22, 1, 7, 33, 37. They beat us by 17 in 2011. Not a lot of close ones...

You must not have watched the same games that I did. Last year, PSU was within one score in the fourth quarter and in 2012 PSU led us 26-14 halfway through the third.

Jones likes to prematurely crown other teams as the new Big Sky Champ. At the start of the season, MSU was the cream of the crop in this conference and Prukop was the next Vernon Adams.

PSU is good, not great.

PSU is good to be sure, but after watching them again tonight I am slightly less concerned than I was before. We will be very competitive with them, especially at home. Their offense is pretty creative and they can really run the ball well, but their defense isn't great and they are vulerable against the pass. It should be a close game, but at home I think we'll be slight favorites to win.

Also, no we're not crushing anyone right now, but UNC is an improved team. Also consider that we've played 5 of our 7 games thus far on the road, missing several key players during that stretch. This team has heart, and knows how to win. If we can piece a few things together, and get some guys healthy down the stretch, we could really be poised to peak at just the right time towards the end of the season.

We play 3/4 remaining games at home, and all of them are winnable. I'm not scared of Montana in Missoula, and the Eags won't be, either.

Interesting point on the schedule; we are in the last week of October and have played 2 (TWO!) home games. In contrast, Montana has already played 5 homes games.

I am a fan of Eastern first and the Big Sky second. Please cite where I have "crowned" Portland State the new Big Sky champion.

I haven't. Portland State is very unlikely to survive their difficult schedule ahead. They would have to go undefeated the rest of the season and defeat EWU to even gain a share of the title. EWU is the far more likely champion this year. I have said, however, PSU is the team most likely to ruin our future playoff seed.

I am tired of Eastern fans on this board being so insecure, that they refuse to praise a team for their accomplishments. It's pretty absurd. PSU has beaten two FBS teams and dominated Montana State. They are a good 6-1 team.

No argument here. They are a damn fine team.

As stated above... Good, not great.

And for the record, I'm plenty secure about where EWU is as a program. When a program proves that they deserve praise, I'll be the first in line to do so. Programs like MSU and PSU need to prove they're more than a one year wonder before they get my praise. Outside of EWU, Montana is the only other program in the Big Sky that has proven to be a Top 10 program nationally within the last 20 years.

EWU is the best program in the Big Sky right now. Will it last forever? Probably not. But since 2010, nobody has been better and until then, I'm not going to be afraid to proclaim that they are the best and worry about the next up and coming team. PSU will play us tough, like normal, but EWU is better and I think they will prove that November 21.

Poly turned it over (4) times including the opening kickoff.

Out-gained PSU 536-386

PSU isn't any different than they've been in previous years, an above average FCS team.

Don't let the WSU game fool you, WSU wouldn't lost to EWU, UM, MSU, CalPoly as well AS PSU the way they played that day.

Any team EWU plays this year will score 28+. For EWU to win ANY game they need 40+ unless it's Sac St or UC Davis.

I don’t think PSU is the same kind of team this year. They are a better team than in past years. CalPoly was definitely weaker because Chris Brown was out for the entire game and the fullback protheroe was out early in the 3rd quarter. That freshman QB for Cal Poly played pretty good. However, the PSU RB David Jones (8.2 yards per carry) was also out of the game at about 14 min remaining in the 3rd qtr. My point is that PSU also lost an important part of their offense for the second half. The PSU QB is very evasive and throws well on the run. Cal Poly was blitzing continually and he (Kuresa) made them pay.

PSU has Montana and Southern Utah at home and Northern Colorado and the EAGS on the road. I would not be surprised if the Vikings come into the EWU game with wins over UM, UNC and SUU.

Don't be fooled by the score of the UM, North Dakota game. North Dakota was playing without it's best two defensive backs and their defensive backfield looked horrendous. The griz will not move the ball on PSU like they did against North Dakota. PSU over the griz by two TDs.
