PSU is a 16 seed and plays Kansas

When you get any group of people meeting regularly for a lot of years you are bound get a lot of interesting traditions. Since KU has been playing basketball for 110 years, something like the Rock Chalk chant is to be expected. If you think it is eerie over the TV, you have no idea how surreal it is to experience when you are in the middle of 16000 people doing it. We teach stuff like that to our children before they can even walk!

Gotta second this one! My daughter is not yet two and can do the rock chalk cant with us (including hand/arm motions) and is very keen on going "COME ON HAWKS" at the TV if we are not playing well (I'm certain her father's tone of voice had NOTHING to do with that!)

I wish you guys well and hope for a good showing by both teams.

I certainly feel you got jobbed by the committee, especially since you were slotted as a 14 seed BEFORE winning your conference tourney!

Good luck (but again, not too much) and I second the "no injuries" sentiment!

Yes, but hurling rocks at your opponent's head is no longer permitted by NCAA rules.

You might be interested in Bill Self's recent comments on PSU:

"After watching tape, I told these guys, how are these guys a 16 seed? Because they do a lot of the same things we do,” Self added. “They play fast. They share the ball, all of them can pass. All of them can stretch the defense from the perimeter.”

“We know they are a very good team,” Chalmers told the media Wednesday. “They have a lot of shooters on the team. They have a good point guard in (Jeremiah) Dominguez and good scorers from the one through three spot. We have to focus in and be ready to play with them."

This leads me to guess that the primary KU offensive strategy will be to pound the ball inside and try to create mismatches in size, strength and agility.
