Tough crowd

I have been out of Portland for about the last 3-4 years so I don't know the story on this kid, but if he is good enough to warrant the attention of the other schools listed, he should be a good fit for the run-n-gun.

Any disagreement?

None here.

I would love for the Viks to sign this guy, but I have a feeling he will be signing with a bigger school. He's friends with Kavanaugh (our QB signee from this year), but that's still probably not enough to get him.

He's had an offer for a while now. He'd be a great fit, but I think he'll probably end up at ASU or OSU.

To small, more like 5'8"; not physically strong, was totally abused by Grant High cornerbacks last year. Doesn't go after the ball in the middle part of the field; not break away speed oriented, but for the slow CB's in the PIL he was going to score if he got behind them. My hit is this: the schools of interest are his; he will receive letters (which I know he has), but letters mean nothing. He will not be a scholarship athlete for any of the PAC 10 schools listed. I will guess that at most he might be considered a "recruited walk-on". Re: PSU, if the coaching staff can find a 6'1" - 6'2" wideout with 10.3 - 10.4/10.5 speed, from California that's where your scholarship will go. Prediction: partial scholarship/possibly tuition.

Not hating on this kid, but I have spent several years watching their program.

Sorry Gard, he already has a full scholarship offer from Arizona, and PSU. He'll probably do track first, then be a returner and receiver second.

5-8 is about the size that the SB's are in this offense, I think he would fit well.

That is right PSUVIKINGS in this offense it is all about quickness, hands, and speed not size at the 2 SB positions.

I know any many run & shoot offenses that is true. However, if given choices, Coach Glanville/Coach Davis would go with size & speed, not just speed. Unless you have heard it from family, I wouldn't bank on the Arizona scholarship (and I haven't heard it from family).

Thanks for the information. We shall see what happens with this player. I know he wants to play at the D1 level (PAC 10), but I don't see it happening. He would have a tough time against PSU's current DB's, let alone what's happening with the PAC 10 D'Bs. Watch his senior year and then let's talk again. As you know early offers really don't mean a lot.

True. I may actually go to some of their games this fall to see Polk and Johnson play. It should be interesting.

Looks like Jordan Polk will be on the September 5th expanded roster.

Also looks like he was booted from the UW program...
