I think we'll finish better than 10th.
Probable wins:
@ISU - It's ISU.
Weber State - They look like they're down and we'll have them at home.
Probable losses:
@Montana - We just can't win in Missoula (well, at D1 level).
@Eastern Washington - I think they'll be pretty solid this year. Tough road game, even though waltzed out of there in 2011 with a win.
Toss ups:
Cal Poly - Strong team this season, but there's a couple of reasons that I think we'll be ready. First off, we'll have four games under our belt to their three, with the last two of those being road games against FBS programs. This will be their third straight road game, however, they do have their bye that they will be coming off of. This is also a Thursday night game, so we'll be faced with a short practice week to get our game plan put in place, but I think Thursday night games have the potential to throw teams off with their regular practice schedule.
Sac State - They've shown improvement the last couple of years. However, they have also seemed to lose games towards the end of the season, and we have them at home in mid-November.
Southern Utah - I've been watching PSU football for a long time, and this is one of those winnable games that we piss down our leg with late mistakes. I hope they prove me wrong.
UND - Home game and we'll be coming off of our bye week. A week off in October may provide us to heal some bumps and bruises
Lets say we split the toss up games, and we'll end up 4-4 in conference. Should be better than 10th, but certainly not what we all want. This, of course is all before fall camp even starts where the programs in the Big Sky could have injuries, major improvements, arrests (*cough*, Montana, *cough*), etc, that will affect how the season goes.
Hopefully we stay healthy, make some improvements, have some bounces that go our way, and see something like a 5-3 or 6-2.
