PSU @ Southern Utah

That is the worst TV coverage ever. The cameraman misses many plays. He cant follow the play. These announcers are clueless.

Can Burton resurrect this season? I don't think he has it in him. He is in his fourth year. I know we are stuck with him for one more year due to his contract but his record stinks.

What a waste of a great defensive performance.

Couldn't have said it better. SUU's two touchdowns came right after PSU turnovers. One gave them the ball on PSU's 19 yard line, and the other the 1 yard line. So, the defense held them to 3 total points when they had more than 20 yards to work with.

My belief is this season is over and the rest of the games will be in-game practices for next season. Let's keep building as we don't seem to be quite ready yet. The Turkey Bowl will likely live up to its name this year.

I think this proves that our offense is our biggest enemy at times as well as the biggest savior. The team goes as the offense does, because the defense seems to be in the backseat when it comes down to determining games. Too many turnovers.

Liked what I saw/heard from Penn, though. And the defense did what it could, which is encouraging in an otherwise crappy season for them thus far.

The offense is getting progressively worse since the Davis game. Everyone has figured out how to beat PSU. Put everyone in the box to stop the run and make Kieran throw.

I hate to say it, because I have been very high on Keiran as QB, but I think it's time to sit him down and give Penn a shot from the first snap, not just in panic mode. I'm starting to believe that KM is not mobile enough nor will his passing dramatically improve to the point that he can be counted on to pin point hit a receiver without the fans holding their breath. That is not a good place to be.

I hear you.

I'm not sure what to think of KM as the season progresses. He seems less likely to run when the pocket comes down; unlike last season. Perhaps by design.

The passing off of the back foot, locking onto a single receiver, and lack of scrambling leads me to believe that it may be time for Penn to get the nod in the next game.

Damn, I'd really hoped that we'd not be discussing stuff like this in mid-October...

Game on and Kieran throws another interception.[
Anyone notice that McDonagh started out playing great at the Cal game-but in these last 3 losses, think it's time to play Collin and Penn more!

SUU was a snapshot of Burton's tenure at PSU.

He can't get the whole team to play together. Not surprising since the grapevine says he "lost" the team several weeks ago. As for the offense, it was horrible no matter who was at QB. KM must be hurt, but obviously the coaches think he can do more hurt than the other QB's. Penn (and Colin-one long pass completion to Tatum--where was Tatum the rest of the game??) didn't do too much either--KM lead the team down the field on the 75 yard drive, Penn came in on 4th down and ran it in thanks to a tackler that drove him forward. Otherwise Penn's best play was a scramble. The play calling no matter who was in was not good. We are predictable--Paris gonna run and Kieran gonna throw long to Dean, ---who only seems to go 100% about 1/2 of the time.
Defense played well against an anemic offense but did their job!! Special teams--uggh-- punt return gave them the short field for one touchdown. Can't blame the defense for that. Fumbles by usually sure handed DJ hurt too.
There is way too much talent on this team to be losing to teams like SUU.

How long before we can say "Time for a change"? It is just one failed coach after another. I hate to say this, but I miss Tim Walsh. They should have made a major effort to hire Al Borges when Pokey left. We have major talent but no idea what to do with them. I am depressed. The biggest problem is basketball season on the men's side will look the same. We are lucky that we have women's sports at PSU.

The camouflage have gotten nothing but great comments from everyone at home and away games. They are awesome! Maybe they've lost some games but why did you make a rude comment about what they wear? That's just your opinion that wasn't necessary to even express. If you are a fan, cheer for these guys that are working hard and trying to win games - why criticize what the heck they wear

Burton lost this team by lying to players, not being fair to all players and constantly berating some guys and not others. He has benched kids because he doesn't like what they have to say, not given kids like Kasey Kloss a scholarship and literally told him it's because he is from Lake Oswego and doesn't need the money.

When you don't treat kids with respect and honor what they are doing for you they really don't care much about you as a coach. I've heard from several kids that were suppose to be turning the team around by now that Burton and Hill constantly lie and say very inappropriate things to kids starting and bench. They think this coaching staff is a joke.

I heard at least 6 to 10 kids from the 2012 class are asking for their release as soon as this season ends. They all loved football but say at this point with this staff it is the worst thing in their life. Some are trying to transfer to other big sky schools and some are just done with it. They say Burton and staff sucked the joy of football from their life.
